Costa Rica Entertainment – The Symphonic Orchestra of Heredia is closing the 2017 season on Saturday and Sunday.
The group, led by Eddie Mora, will offer music from Russia, Finland and, of course, local pieces.
This last program of the year will include waltzes, bird songs and other offerings. The group is accustomed to traveling the world but will now be in the Immaculate Conception Parish and the Eugene O’Neill Theater.
The first concert will be free and the second just ¢1,000. Until now, the OSH was focused on Latin American music and new works. Now they have included pieces from all over the world.
Eddie Mora recently won the Latin Grammy for directing the National Symphony Orchestra on a CD of Costa Rican music.
He wrote “Ofrenda,” which will be included in the concerts of this weekend.
