An ex-cabin crew member passionate about beauty pageants and social causes, Nicole Sandí, age 27, was crowned Mrs. Costa Rica and will go on to compete on an international level.
She recalls wanting to be a beauty queen since childhood. She went after other dreams first but this one never subsided. She got a degree in business administrator, became a wife and a mother and led a full life but still craved a crown.
The 15 candidates formed a strong supportive group of friends among the competition as they toured the country for social causes. Nicole also felt the support of her family, including her 85-year-old grandmother.
Nicole was seen by the judges as very sweet and compassionate in addition to beautiful. She said that “Being an integral woman means being authentic, sure of yourself. This is not only beauty, but heart.”
