Does the Cosmos Care About the Human Brain?

Recently I heard an eminent astronomer proclaim: “The universe doesn’t care if we exist, and it won’t care if we go away.” If you’ve spent any time alone in the wilderness, you know that’s true physically. But is the cosmos, which may itself be conscious, really indifferent to the evolution of brains such as ours, with the capacity for consciousness beyond thought, science and technology?

Being a philosopher of no faith, in the sense of a belief system, and of little faith, in the sense of trust without evidence in people and a higher intelligence, I have a perennial question about whether there are ultimately three or just two movements in human consciousness.

On the one hand I’ve had too much experience with what I’m loath to call dark forces to deny their existence. On the other hand I have too little experience with a movement of intelligence in human consciousness to feel that there is anything beyond the possibility of negating darkness within the individual, beginning and ending with oneself.

My spiritual practice reflects the imperative of negation and stillness. Taking a daily period of passive observation is a matter of internal hygiene to my mind, an action of simple inward cleansing. The transcendent states that ensue with complete negation of useless or harmful emotional and cognitive accumulation are an unsought benefit, not the reason one washes off the dirt through negation in meditation.

Water, as an actuality and symbol, is of the essence, both in terms of life itself, and in terms of religious practice. Many astrobiologists now believe that

wherever there is liquid water in the universe, there we will probably find life. That hypothesis has yet to be tested on Europa, one of the moons of Jupiter, or Enceladus, one of the moons of Saturn, where liquid water lies below a thick crusts of ice. But if Earth is any indication, liquid water and life are nearly synonymous.

Water is the central symbol of many religions. Hindus ritually cleanse their bodies and souls in the sacred waters of the Ganges. Catholics baptize their babies and Protestants their born again believers in water, sometimes with full immersion. Therefore beyond the physical necessity of water as the most important element of life, there is the oft-neglected necessity of keeping oneself inwardly clean. Few people do that, or know how to perhaps, but to a person who does, it’s more important than physical cleanliness.

It’s unnecessary and unhelpful to think in terms of sin. Rather, it is in the nature of human consciousness to accumulate memories, hurts, hatreds, sorrows and suffering. They pile up in the mind and heart, eventually encrusting one’s perception and feeling, destroying sensitivity and innocence.

One can see how stultifying this material in consciousness has become, since sensitivity and innocence is being systematically, and systemically, destroyed in younger and younger children. They lose their innocence not only through physical and sexual abuse, but also through continuous exposure to the rampant and rancid consumeristic garbage of the globalizing, capitalistic, American-style economy.

A daily period of passive, intense observation cleans off the caked material that builds up on the windowpanes of the mind and heart. One thereby restores unobstructed perception to the mind and heart. Given what the world has become, there is no more important action that an adult can learn, and teach their children.

But even though I’m certain of the efficacy of effortless, undivided attention (call it meditation, mindfulness, contemplation or whatever), that still leaves the question of whether there is only crud, and individual cleaning, where consciousness is concerned.

Since one regularly contacts a completely impersonal sacredness, to my mind there is, beyond reasonable doubt, an immanent intelligence permeating nature and the cosmos. Whether God in this sense, like nature itself, is utterly indifferent to humans, or in some impersonal sense cares about humanity, is the question.

If there are only two movements in consciousness–the accumulation of darkness, and its possible, indeed essential negation in the individual–then authentic religious experience is just for the very few. That makes no sense to me. Besides, it would mean that humanity doesn’t stand a chance in the long, and perhaps the short run.

Sometimes I feel that there is a third movement besides darkness and negation. I just don’t feel it very often, especially lately. And if a so-called mystic who regularly experiences transcendence doesn’t, then no wonder so many people have given up on humanity, taking the view that there’s only cosmic randomness, unmitigated materialism, and intractable self-centeredness.

That still leaves cosmic intelligence AWOL in the present age. Can that intelligence only operate through us? Is this the darkest hour before the dawn, or a darkening hour before many more hours in this dark night of the human soul?

Midtown Sacramento Haunting

Date to be there: February 22, 2020, Saturday. Time to be there: 6pm. Address to be at: XXXX F. Street, Sacramento, CA Contact Person: Taylor St. Mary/Paloma Pompei. Message from Taylor: “Hello! I am writing about a house my friends and I used to live in on xxth and F street in downtown Sacramento. I have since moved out, but my friends still live there. We have all been experiencing paranormal activity there for the past 8 or so years. We were informed that a woman actually died in the house in the 70s. Myself and my other roommate have actually seen her once at night. We wanted to have some professionals come out to check the house out and let us know what is truly going on there.” Talked with Taylor and learned that pictures are taken off the wall. Footsteps are heard. Things sound like they are falling. Clothes thrown around. Paintings found taken off the wall and placed at the foot of the bed.

To get the full story of the haunting activity at this house, just watch the videos above this article and get the full scoop from the occupants and friends of this home.  It’s all there.  What I will tell you is about the history of Midtown Sacramento and what could possibly be haunting this home.  I will also tell you about our exciting investigation of this home.

THE INVESTIGATION

We conducted two investigations of this home, with a briefing after each investigation.  We didn’t feel there was anything evil in this home, but there was one room in this home where the atmosphere felt thick.  Using dowsing rods to locate the entity, the dowsing rods lead me to the stairs to the room that we felt a thickness at and lo and behold, the dowsing rods crossed over indicating where the entity was and we capture an EVP of a man whispering, you can hear that EVP in the videos above this article.  Deanna and Jessica see an old woman in the patio/backyard area and we capture an EVP of an old woman that sounds like she is singing…”hellooooooooooooooooooo.”   GHOST IDENTIFIED: GRANNY GOOSEBUMPS.   The reason why I call her Granny Goosebumps, is because 1. She is an old lady.  2.  When I heard her sing “hello”, it instantly gave me goosebumps.  Deanna picked up on elemental energy in the back yard.  Angela captured photos of what might be an entity’s foot next to an investigator.  The investigator in the photo also has something weird on her shoulder.  Angela takes a picture of herself at the mirror and there is something weird on her mouth.  Two of the occupants heard a woman humming in the house and Deanna and I, were outside and captured an EVP of a woman humming.  This all happened at the same time when the occupants heard the humming and we recorded the humming.   Deanna and Angela saw a flash of white light appear for a micro-second in the kitchen area.

HISTORY OF MIDTOWN:

Okay, let’s look and see what notables (famous and infamous) that hung around midtown.  Virgil Edwin Earp, lived in midtown.  Virgil was the nephew of Wyatt Earp.  Virgil was once a lawman for the Sacramento Police Department and is buried at the old city cemetery in Sacramento.  Serial Killer Dorothrea Puente lived on F Street.  Haunted Sutter’s Fort is near this residence.  Lynette “Squeaky” Fromme of the Charles Manson family lived in midtown for a while.  Squeaky was the one that pointed a gun at then President Gerald Ford.  Serial Killer Morris “The Handyman” Solomon killed 6 women from Oak Park and midtown.  Theodore “Ted” Kaczynski aka the Unabomber was stalking out places in and around midtown and other parts of Greater Sacramento.  So, you see, midtown has plenty of history and for someone to tell me that this house is haunted, I believe them.  Tonight we proved that this house is truly haunted, it was a good investigation!

Gas Price Drop in Costa Rica Due to Coronavirus

Aresep has approved a fuel reduction of ₡38 per liter of super, ₡39 for regular, and ₡63 for diesel. These reductions bring the price to ₡606 per liter of super, ₡583 for regular, and ₡498 for diesel.

When filling a 45-liter tank, drivers will save ₡1,755 if they use super, ₡1,800 if they use regular, and ₡2,835 if they use diesel. The new rates will become official and be applied sometime this week.

This follows a request Recope made on February 14 to reduce the cost. It was found that the market was greatly affected by a 20% drop in daily demand in China, due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The extraordinary adjustment was approved because the Covid-19 substantially reduced the demand in China, which in turn impacted the world market for both oil and its derivatives.

Costa Rica’s National Decarbonization Plan

The success of the National Decarbonization Plan greatly relies on local communities and governments drawing up specific plans that work in each sector. Monteverde, for example, has chosen to focus on electric vehicles. They have secured places in the community and on the way to it where cars can be charged. They’ve also brought up the idea of buying an electric car between various neighbors who will share it.

Desamparados came up with a way to avoid using drinking water to wash municipal vehicles. They reuse water. After being used, it goes through a tank with a garden on top that purifies it. It is then recovered and reused to rewash the fleet. It also has a consolidated recycling center that generates 1,100 tons of valuable waste per year.

Curridabat is another great example. It is working on greater conservation of the La Colina park. There, people can use smartphones to learn about biodiversity in the area. They will also create runners in the middle of streets that go beyond grass to include plants that flower and produce fruits that the local animals can benefit from. It is also taking part in a cycle path project that will allow one to bike from La Sabana to Tres Rios.

Costa Rica Social Media Scams

Social networks bring us closer but also make us more vulnerable. Fake profiles can be made in just five minutes and used to run scams that steal personal data. It can then take months to find out who created them.

This has happened a number of times already in 2020. A message circulated on WhatsApp announced that Walmart was giving away gift cards in celebration of its anniversary. A week later, another fake promotion was spread around, this time referring to the Adidas brand. Both companies confirmed that these were false and there are no such cards or royalties offered at this time.

Another case involved profiles posing as Pull & Bear and Ekono and claiming the stores were recruiting ambassadors for the brands. They offered free products in exchange for advertising for the companies on personal social networks.

These often have forms to fill out with personal data. If credit card numbers are given out then the cybercrime becomes an illicit economic crime.

Both the brands and victims should report these types of scams to the OIJ so that investigations can be started. People behind the phishing scams can be sent to prison for one to three years.

Britney Spears Is So Spiritual

Britney Spears has such a large spiritual presence here on Earth. She can be felt in many different parts of the world. She is a divine being. The God of time has in fact smiled upon her and she has left eternal melodies behind to share with the world from a beautiful Heaven where she exists from.

She has sang some songs which are magical such as; Alien, Lucky, Perfume, Stronger & Toxic. If you listen to some of the lyrics in the songs you can catch all the supernatural references.

Toxic
Britney Spears

Baby, can’t you see

I’m calling

A guy like you should wear a warning

It’s dangerous

I’m falling

There’s no escape

I can’t wait

I need a hit

Baby, give me it

You’re dangerous

I’m loving it

Too high

Can’t come down

Losin’ my head

Spinnin’ ’round and ’round

Do you feel me now?

Oh,

The taste of your lips

I’m on a ride

You’re toxic I’m slippin’ under

With a taste of a poison paradise

I’m addicted to you

Don’t you know that you’re toxic?

And I love what you do

Don’t you know that you’re toxic?

It’s getting late

To give you up

I took a sip

From my devil’s cup

Slowly, it’s taking over me

Too high

Can’t come down

It’s in the air and it’s all around

Can you feel me now?

Oh,

Taste of your lips

I’m on a ride

You’re toxic I’m slippin’ under

With the taste of a poison paradise

I’m addicted to you

Don’t you know that you’re toxic?

And I love what you do

Don’t you know that you’re toxic?

Don’t you know that you’re toxic?

(Oh, oh)

Taste of your lips

I’m on a ride

You’re toxic I’m slippin’ under

With a taste of a poison paradise

I’m addicted to you

Don’t you know that you’re toxic?

With the taste of your lips

I’m on a ride

You’re toxic I’m slippin’ under

With a taste of the poison paradise

I’m addicted to you

Don’t you know that you’re toxic?

Intoxicate me now

With your lovin’ now

I think I’m ready now

I think I’m ready now

Intoxicate me now

With your lovin’ now

I think I’m ready now

These come from a variety of religious and energy philosophy. Pop stars are looked to as spiritual icons in some regard as they are incorporated in a large way like Gods in our everyday existences, much like their spirit is right there with us. Like they are hand in hand with time and destiny speaking to our souls.

So, I visited her Instagram to take a look because I have seen her speak on various spirituality throughout her life, which is natural. The simple fact of her being a dancer in movement with the stars in the universe mimics many celestial beings such as Shiva, who in essence is the creator and therefore also the destroyer. Also, I believe that certain people are vessels for these powerful energies.

I saw different posts regarding an astrology book she was reading, qoutes and photos which she thought were so beautiful and spiritual rituals to restore and heal for health and happiness, such as yoga and self love chocolate posts and more. She has alot of different animals, which are all in a state of tranquility on her timeline as well, to represent their spirits.

In one post she says to go to church every Sunday as well.

I saw that she just broke her foot as well while dancing and I wish her healing and love.

AND SHE IS ALSO OBSESSED WITH CHOCOLATE

Chocolate represents our sacred connections to the divine.

Chocolate was first discovered in Central America and used as food, medicine, and in spiritual ceremonies for over 2000 years.

In Latin, Theobroma (the scientific name for chocolate) means “Food of the Gods” and cacao is from the Nahuatl (Aztec language) word xocolatl, xococ (bitter) and atl (water).

Traditionally, it was made without the sugar and it’s thought that it is a superfood in it’s raw form.

And so on we go with popular culture in America and our obsession with all things LOVE!

What Country’s Citizens Have a Tough Time Getting into Costa Rica?

People from certain countries have a particularly hard time entering Costa Rica because they need a special visa known as the Restricted Visa. This is obtained through approval by a commission.

According to the Directorate General for Migration and Foreigners, the Restricted Visa Commission is made up of representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Labor, and Public Security. They meet once a week to study the applicants.

The visa is needed for citizens of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, North Korea, Cuba, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Jamaica, Burma, Palestine, Syria, Somalia, and Sri Lanka. The reasons for these countries being on the list include economic reasons, security reasons, and the termination of international agreements.

There is a way to bypass the need for approval by this commission. That is to obtain a visa from the U.S. or Canada that would be accepted by Costa Rican authorities. These include the multiple visa from Canada and the tourist, crew, or business visa from the U.S. It does not apply with transit visas.
