Costa Ricans Believe Economy Has Collapsed Due to COVID

Costa Ricans’ perception of the economy has all but collapsed due to the pandemic. 76% of Ticos say this is the worst time to buy a house. This was disclosed by the School of Statistics of the University of Costa Rica.

The perception of the Costa Rican economy has plummeted to its lowest level in nearly two decades. This negativity also showed in other aspects. 88.4% said it is not the time to purchase a car. 82.9% said it was a bad time to buy household items like appliances.

53% of participants said that they don’t know if they will have a job in a year. 33% said they are very likely to lose their job. 20% said they do not know if they will have a job.

A surprising turn of ideology shows up in the questions asked about perception of the future. The majority of Ticos reported affirming the Government’s economic and social policy or believing that what is necessary is being done.

Rainy Season Causing Problems in Costa Rica

Heavy rains caused chaos all over Costa Rican’s Caribbean. Trees fell, scaring people, causing property damage, and blocking roads. By 8 pm, authorities decided to close route 32 at Cerro Zurquí preventatively.

The weather included strong winds and downpours in the cantons of Guacimo and Pococí, leaving multiple emergencies in its path. Several trees fell 5 kilometers from Río Frío taking out the cables in the area.

Another one fell on the Río Guácimo, at the entrance to the canton. Just 800 kilometers from that disaster another tree fell on the road, leaving various communities separated without phone or internet service. Ten people cleared a path using machetes.

A large tree fell on a trailer near a restaurant in La Selva. Several residents used a rod to lift the cable so vehicles could pass.

In other areas nearby, several billboards were knocked down, as was a fence. A mother of three recounted the greatest scare of her life, as a tree destroyed a room in her house. The noise it caused was terrifying.

24 More Holy Fruits

Avocado:
The avocado was sacred to the Ancient Maya not only for nourishment, but also as a part of their mythology. Avocados were grown in divine gardens, and important ancestors were thought to become reborn through the avocado. Dream interpreters explain that dreaming of avocado shows sincerity. Compost avocado peels in your magical garden to bless it for abundance.

Black Cherry:
Black cherry is a medium sized tree, often found on the edges of forests. A peculiar Florida folklore side note about the black cherry is that it is the preferred tree for “water witching” or water divination. To see a black cherry tree in your dream may indicate that you could show an increase in terms of status.

Boysenberry:

Michael, the strongest of all angels, defeated the angel Lucifer in a huge battle and banished him from heaven. This in turn caused Lucifer to become the devil instead. When Lucifer bounced onto the floor of hell, he landed into a thorny blackberry bush. This made him so mad that he spit on the bush and cursed its fruit. So then, it is not wise to eat them after Michaelmas.  Boysenberry is a type of blackberry that grows much larger than it’s counterpart.

Cantaloupe:
The name cantaloupe originated in the 18th century via French cantaloup from Italian Cantalupo, which before had been a papal county seat, nearby Rome, after the fruit was introduced there from Armenia. Christopher Columbus introduced cantaloupe to North America in 1494, during the second trip to the New World.
To dream of a cantaloupe is a symbol of longevity and good health. In witch craft it can be used for protection.

Dragon Fruit:
The origin of  dragon fruit is a mystery, but it is probably native to Central America. The French introduced it into Vietnam over a hundred years ago. Dragon fruit grows on the Hylocereus cactus, also known as the Honolulu queen, whose flowers only open at night. It is also known as the strawberry pear. According to an ancient Chinese legend, dragon fruit was formed by fire breathed from a dragon in battle.

Elderberries:
It was believed that if an infant were placed in a cradle made of elderberry wood, the fairies would pinch the baby until it was black & blue. The association of the Elder Tree with death is tightly woven. Many gods and goddess were associated with this tree, notably Freya, a love goddess of witches and women. The elder tree was otherwise associated with unluckiness. The cross upon which Jesus was killed was said to be made of elder wood. Judas was told to have hung himself dead from a branch of an elder tree, while his cursed coins, a payment for betrayal scattered onto the ground from beneath his dangling feet. Also, the furniture made of the wood was regarded as cursed & attractive to the devil, whose very throne was made of elder.Eating elderberries in a dream is a sign of positive health and happiness. This is a sign of life and therefore is also a good sign for healing if you are ill. Reversely, to see rotten elderberries indicates a relationship is going bad and is therefore a negative sign in your waking life.

Grapefruit:

Grapefruit is a citrus hybrid from the Barbados, accidentally made by the sweet orange and pomelo, both of which were introduced from Asia in the seventeenth century. The grapefruit was first recorded in 1750 by Griffith Hughes, who called it the “forbidden fruit” of Barbados. The astrological ruler of Grapefruit is the moon. Grapefruit is a symbol of bitterness in dreams, however if it tastes delicious then it is a sign of refreshment.

Guava:
The birthplace of guava is a riddle, but it is believed to be from an area extending out of southern Mexico through Central America. It has been grown by man, birds and other animals to all warm areas from tropical America and into the West Indies (since approximately 1526).  Guavas are cultivated in many tropical and subtropical lands. The leaves of the Guava can be burned to clear negative energy in a ritual, much like sage. It promotes healing and harmony.

Honeydew Melon:
Honeydew Melon seeds can be used in magical rituals to promote abundance. It naturally represents the element of water and therefore is also associated with the moon in witchcraft. A ripe water melon in a dream means sickness, while green and unripened melons mean youth and good health. Alternatively, the dream may represent fertility, sensuality, gluttony or vitality. Melons are also used as a metaphor for breasts.

Kiwi:
The kiwifruit is native to the Yangtze River valley of northern China and Zhejiang Province on the coast of eastern China. Seeds were first brought out of China by missionaries to New Zealand at the turn of this century. Kiwi birds have nothing to do with the kiwi fruit. When the Chinese gooseberry was grown over here, its name was changed to kiwi fruit to show it came from New Zealand. The green kiwi is a very feminine Venus fruit, and as such increases feelings of love, beauty and attraction.

Kumquat:
There are many health benefits of kumquats. The flowers symbolize good luck and prosperity and they are used in popular floral decorations at new year markets. Kumquats are native to Southeast Asia and come from small evergreen trees. Kumquats in dreams also symbolize prosperity. Chinese tradition associates the kumquat with luck and wealth in the future.

Mandarin:
The mandarin orange is a native of south-east Asia and the Philippines. It is mostly abundantly grown in Japan, southern China, India, and the East Indies. Mandarins oranges of all kinds are  descended from wild oranges, that once grew in northeast India, about 3,000 years ago. Mandarin oil is a component used in Hoodoo to prevent the spread of gossip and ill will against someone.

Nectarine:
Nectarines, like peaches, first originated in China about 2,000 years ago. They were cultivated in ancient Persia, Greece and Rome. They were then grown in Great Britain, about the late 16th or early 17th centuries, and afterwards introduced to America by the Spanish people. Nectarines are used in witchcraft for love rituals, as well as other citrus fruits. As a general reminder, cultivated fruit in a dream is a favorable omen if it is ripe, but an unfavorable one if unripe, bitter or spoiled.

Papaya:
The papaya is believed to be native to southern Mexico and neighboring Central America. The papaya is now present in every tropical and subtropical country around the world. A papaya represents health and pressures in your life. Papaya is named as the “fruit of the angels” by Christopher Columbus himself. Many people of the male gender avoid eating papaya because they believe that papaya may lessen their sex drive.

Passion Fruit:
Passion fruit is named after a vine that it grows upon named passionflower. The genus Passiflora was named after Jesuit priests found the first specimen in South America. They thought the plant resembled a vision, which was described in detail by St. Francis of Assisi, of a vine crawling upwards on the cross where Jesus had once been crucified. The passion flower’s unique features are still found to be symbolic of the holy crucifixion of Christ, or as known in biblical history, as the Passion of the Christ. This flower has spikes going from the center up, symbolizing his divine crown made of thorns. There are 10 petals each for the 10 faithful apostles. To see or eat a passion fruit in your dream is suggestive of our spiritual connections to the other realms. It is about being in tune with your self.

Persimmons:
According to folklore, if you smash open a persimmon seed from the ripened fruits and the shape inside (called a cotyledon) looks like a fork, that means the winter will be mild. However, if you see a spoon, there will be lots of snow coming and if there is a knife, winter will be bitingly cold and “cut like a knife.” Persimmons were a favorite fruit of many ancient tribes, either to be eaten plain or cooked into sweet puddings. To the Japanese, the persimmon is a symbol of triumph.

Plantain:
A plantain tree signifies the power of healing. Plantain is from a major group of banana varieties that are a main food crop in many tropical places. In Peru, banana leaves present in Incan tombs indicates a religious connection. Green bananas placed all around a green coconut is an important religious offering to Buddhists of Southeast Asia. Hawaiian legends refer to the plantains’ connection to the fabled Menehunes, a semi-mythical race native to the Hawaiian Isles.

Prunes:
Today, California is noted as being from the state mostly responsible for a wide amount of U.S. prune production and a huge percentage of all prune production worldwide. A prune is a dried plum of any cultivar, mostly from the European plum. It is described as a black wrinkly and dry fruit and so therefore would be wisely used as protection from evil and banishment of evil as well. God is the vine dresser who prunes the life of everyone who abides in Christ and bears the fruit of Christ.

Pumpkin:
Pumpkins, like any other squash, came from northeast Mexico and southern United States. The oldest evidence found are Mexican pumpkin fragments, which were dated between 7,000 and 5,500 BC. In America, pumpkins are carved out into faces and Halloween designs and become Jack-O-Lanterns which are lit in the fall around this holiday. A candle is then placed inside and lit, in order to protect from evil and bad luck. In Ireland, the children were carving out potatoes or turnips as the original “Jack-O-Lanterns” and also then lit them up from the inside out with candles. This practice originated from an Irish myth about a man nicknamed “Stingy Jack” who had invited the Devil himself to have a drink with him. But then, he didn’t want to pay for his drink and so trouble began. Jack asked Satan to pay the tab for him. He convinced Satan to metamorphose into a silver coin to pay the bartender. Shrewdly, Jack stuck the now transmogrified Satan (coin) into his pocket, which also contained a crucifix. The crucifix’s presence kept Satan from escaping his form. This coerced Satan to agree to Jack’s demand: in exchange for Satan’s freedom, he then must spare Jack’s soul for ten more years. Then Jack met Satan again and promised to go to Hades for good. As the Satan prepared to take him to hell, Jack asked if he could have one apple to feed his starving belly. As he went and climbed up the branches of an apple tree, Jack surrounded the base with crucifixes. Satan, frustrated at the fact that he been entrapped again, demanded to be released. As Jack had done before, he made another demand so that his soul would not go to Hades. Satan agreed and was set free.To tell others, Satan gave Jack an ember to mark him as a person of the netherworld. From that day forward, Jack is doomed to roam this world between, with just one ember inside of a hollowed turnip (“turnip” actually referring to a large rutabaga) to light his way.

Raspberries:
Raspberry is native to Europe. It came from Greece, widely known and loved since ancient times. From there it spread to Italy, the Netherlands, England and soon after to North America. Raspberries have been kept as a food source for many centuries. The red raspberry is indigenous to Asia Minor and North America. The discovery of raspberries is mentioned in Greek legend. According to the myth, raspberries were discovered while the Olympian gods were searching for berries on Mount Ida. The berries are said to make a perfect ingredient in a love potion.

Rhubarb:

A key ingredient in Strawberry Rhubarb pie, this fruit pairs perfectly with fresh strawberry to create an intensely romantic kitchen spell for love! The leaves of rhubarb are highly poisonous and it is toxic to eat them. Rhubarb is thought to be a vegetable, but it is often prepared or combined with fruit for desserts. Rhubarb could be eaten raw, but because of its tart flavoring, it is more often cooked and sweetened. Legally, it’s known as a fruit because In 1947, a New York court rightfully made the distinction. Rhubarb can also stand magically for protection or fidelity.

Star Fruit:
It is believed that star fruit originated in either Sri Lanka or the Moluccas, the islands of Indonesia. The tree is cultivated in tropical areas. Star fruit is also known as Carambola. It also has five long ridges that run downwards from the length of the fruit over, so that when you slice it, the shape of a star will appear. The fruit is also mostly yellow like a star. Because of the shape it can be used in any ritual towards the stars or light working such as spell cleansing and banishing of old energies and stagnant forces.

Tangerine:
Take a spoonful of tangerine infused honey to fill yourself with solar energy and positivity when you need solar energy. Tangerine is a form of mandarins and is also used to re energize and in love rituals. Different varieties of oranges are an American staple at Christmas. They are used to put into a Christmas stocking to bring joy and happiness on the holiday. Tangerines are firmer still, and are the hardest to peel, but they have the sweetest taste in the end.

Tomato:
A legend says the tomato originated from a woman who had very bad luck with money, but loved her family so much so that when she died they buried her and her body turned into a tomato plant in order to feed her family. This wish, made by Kamalia, was to take care of those she loved. The odd plant that gave Kamalia’s kids a new chance in life was named kamatis. This was started from Kamalia’s name and her strength to endure everything in life for the sake of her children. Since then, and until now, kamatis or tomato has always been a part of many Filipino dishes giving the needed flavor.

The Two Types Of CBD Oil For Dogs

All of us have our work cut out for us when our fur babies are sick. We’ll never understand anything they’re saying. But despite that, we notice how they’re behavior changes. We may not feel what they are feeling, but we can see how down they are.

We want to help our pets as much as possible. We want to care for our dogs and lessen the pain they are feeling. People will recommend you this and that, but there are many better ways to make your dog(s) feel better quickly and effectively.

Many veterinarians you know may have introduced CBD oil to you. It is proven effective and easy to use. By now, you might know that CBD oil or cannabidiol is from the hemp plant. This particular oil is extracted from that plant, but it’s proven that it’s safe to use. A lot of us had already used this on themselves and their pets. And they experienced the relief it gave them.

I know what you’re thinking. You might be asking yourself, “Won’t it get your pet high?” I have just the answer you are looking for the moment you clicked on this article.

There are two types of CBD oil that you may not know about, and these are the full-spectrum CBD oil and the broad-spectrum. You might’ve thought that there isn’t much difference between the two since they are both the same oils extracted from one plant.

There are so many types of cannabinoids in that one hemp plant. So, there are chances that you might be taking the wrong one. Sure, CBD oil is legal and all, but you might want to know more about these things (read more).

What is full-spectrum CBD oil?

Full-spectrum means that this particular oil contains all the components found in that plant. They don’t remove all the existing cannabinoids. We both know that there are substances your dog shouldn’t take. Still, this type of oil is considered more effective even if it has mild side effects.

Additionally, there is one that we call an isolated CBD. Which was preferred by most in the past? But now, full-spectrum has made its way to the top of the market despite its side effects. This is because of a particular something that they called an “entourage effect.”

What is the entourage effect?

This effect includes the psychoactive impact we all know when it comes to CBD. When it’s a full-spectrum oil, a component such as THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) isn’t removed. This component is the one responsible for that “high effect.” But that doesn’t mean taking a full-spectrum CBD oil is that bad.ha

Let me ease your doubts if you feel like it would have some effects that you wouldn’t like. I may have mentioned that full-spectrum has THC. But that didn’t mean you or your pet would experience getting high and all those downsides. As long as you’re giving a certain amount appropriately to your dog, you won’t have to worry about anything! Your little buddy will feel way better, and you did a great job of taking care of him/her.

You won’t necessarily get high if you take only minimal amounts, same goes with your fur babies. Giving this to your dog will still help him in ways that it has helped you. Full-spectrum CBD still has more health benefits than drawbacks. Check out more info here: https://usa.inquirer.net/52192/full-spectrum-vs-broad-spectrum-cbd

If we have an oil that contains all the components, we might as well have the one we call broad-spectrum.

What is broad-spectrum CBD oil?

Broad-spectrum meaning, it still has all the different compounds that were extracted from the plant. But there is one that they removed or left behind. And this is the THC. Previously, I’ve said that THC has its intoxicating side effects, which is true.

So, you might be the type of person who wouldn’t want to give this compound to your pet, and that is a good decision. You might be wondering how THC affects the formula you’re giving to your dog, and there isn’t that big of a difference. It still has the effects you want, the relief you want to give your dog, as well as many other reasons.

The Difference

The only difference is that THC helps with the formula a lot more. It makes it more effective, more beneficial, and so on. There is an organic full-spectrum CBD Oil for dogs which are recommended by most pet owners online. It’s guaranteed to have little to no psychoactive effects. It may be full-spectrum, but it’s 100% safe.

But if you’re considering the wellness and health benefits of your little buddy, you would want to go for broad-spectrum since it doesn’t have THC. As they say, it’s more like a mixture of isolated and full-spectrum CBD only without the effects of THC. You want to go for the smart choice here, but don’t let your mind be boggled about this.

Either way, full-spectrum is the right choice when it comes to effectiveness, while broad-spectrum is also beneficial.

Cuban Man Arrested for Costa Rica Social Security Scam

A Cuban man, Lorenzo Ramón Castaño Suárez, age 52, was on the run until an international arrest warrant was issued and he was found in Miami, USA and returned to Costa Rica, where he must face charges.

He is the main suspect in a fraud crime against the Costa Rican Social Security Fund. ₡53 million was allegedly scammed from the CCSS by charging for products not needed by real patients.

They were orthopedic parts, such as pins, plates and prostheses. Some were charged for patients in other areas who had no orthopedic concerns. Others were charged for deceased people. Invoices confiscated in two hospitals determined that many of the supplies were not required by any patient.

The doctor insists he is innocent as he was not in charge of seeing what the products were used for. He stated that many doctors refused to fill out the paperwork needed to use supplies so there was a general lack of control of where the parts went.

Costa Rica Doctor Tries to Smuggle in COVID Tests

A Costa Rican doctor was flown back home from Columbia via a repatriation flight. He appears to have had a positive intention of bringing with him 80 tests that are for detecting covid-19. These have an estimated economic value of $2,800.

Unfortunately, the required process to import medical supplies was not followed. These protocols are in place to assure the quality, effectiveness, and dependability of tests, medications, and equipment.

The Ministry of Health, therefore, had to confiscate the tests and proceed to decommission them. This was done through a joint operation with the Customs Directorate and the Aerial Surveillance of the Juan Santamaría airport.

The tests were found in the luggage the doctor brought with him on the flight this Tuesday morning, according to the Unit of Normalization and Control of the Ministry of Health.

The case will be sent to the Prosecutor’s Office of the College of Physicians.

Cesspool of Paranormal Activity: The Bayley House

Today was a dog day.  Deanna and I, call this a dog day, because we take our two dogs named Story (an Aushire) ½ Australian Terrier and ½ Yorkshire Terrier and Princess Hannah (a Pekingese) everywhere with us.  When I say everywhere, I mean everywhere. Our first stop was Starbucks at 8450 Elk Grove Blvd in Elk Grove, using our gift card, we picked up on a Chai Tea grande frappachino.  The lady serving us was so nice and gave Hannah and Story a cup full of whip creme.  After Starbucks, a stop at Walmart for snacks; Shell Station for gas; Adalbertos for lunch – I had the delicious beef tamale and Deanna had a bean and cheese burrito.  To make sure that the dogs didn’t have to go to the bathroom, we stopped at Elk Grove Community Center to walk the dogs.  They also got a walk at Starbucks, before heading 1 hour up the road to The Bayley House.

THE BAYLEY HOUSE INVESTIGATION:

Deanna a psychic medium was picking up on all kinds of activity.  Deanna picked up on 5 spirits, they were:1. The Amish Lady:  A ghostly lady in Amish attire was seen darting behind the building and then looking at us.2. Bayley Goat Man:  A strange entity that is grayish in color, had horns on his head, the size of a 10 year old, but the physique of a man3. 2nd Floor Boy Observer:  A little boy is seen on the 2nd floor window, looking down at Deanna.4. The Plumber:  Deanna sees a ghostly plumber man working, kneeling down, working on the pipes that are connected to this house.Deanna felt that there is a strong energy field around this house, which traps the entities to this house.  At one point of time, when Deanna was seeing the plumber, the dogs got excited as if there was someone in front of them.  Deanna captures a clear EVP of a man saying “hi” to her.

This is What “The Land of Glittering Dreams” Website Has to Say:

“The Bayley House was built by Alcander J. Bayley as a hotel to serve travelers on the transcontinental railroad which had planned to follow a route John C. Fremont had mapped in the 1840’s through the Pilot Hill area.

The Bayley House opened on May 15th, 1862 with an invitation only reception. People came to view the 24 rooms, the ballroom, the observatory on top with a view of the surrounding mountains and Sacramento Valley, and the terraced gardens which surrounded the hotel. But the hotel was doomed to failure because the railroad changed it’s route to run through Auburn and the Bayley House became known as Bayley’s Folly. The building served as a private residence until the 1960s.

The building has been in a continuing state of decline. The pillars and veranda are gone and most windows and doorways are covered by plywood. When we visited in November 2002, we were disappointed to see much of the exterior wall on the north side had collapsed leaving the interior totally exposed to the elements. But happily money was raised and the wall was repaired. There is still hope that the building will be restored. The Georgetown Divide Recreation District (owner of the Bayley House) is raising money to restore the building for use as a museum related to the area’s history. Their web site for the project is www.bayleyhouse.net. The web site also has more history about the Bayley House.  The Land of Glittering Dreams

Special Note from Paul:  When Deanna spotted the Bayley Goat Man is the time, I felt a finger jab me in the ribs.  I thought that was very odd and during that time, I was trying to provoke some activity.  On one of the trees, we saw a hangman’s rope and we can only wonder why a hangman’s rope would be on one of the trees?

From a Spiritual Perspective

Sardonically, though unwittingly, the devil’s own in the White House declares, “Houses of worship are essential places providing essential services. America needs more prayers not less.” King Donald decrees, “I will override the governors” to open the churches (churlishly including mosques and synagogues) this Memorial Day weekend.

Is the future of humanity one in which “we must always be just tapping our canes on the pavement in the fog?” Without confusing prediction with prophecy, can we see what is happening in the world, and what potential future still beckons for humanity?

The world is made, not divinely created. What humans made can be remade with insight, creativity, conviction and courage.

That is especially true when an old order is collapsing, as it is now after one of the last struts has been kicked out by the pandemic. The question is, how deep does the crisis go, and what is an adequate response?

Thomas Hobbes quip that the best prophet is the best guesser is mistaken at every level. The very notion of a ‘false prophet’ implies that there is such a thing as a true one. And a true prophet does merely foresee the inevitable collapse, but articulates and works for a future that can be created if the foundation is poured before complete collapse occurs.

Back in 1999, I was able to get a leading anti-corruption advocate from Kenya, the head of the academic union there, to an anti-corruption conference with then Vice-President Al Gore. This fellow had been imprisoned and tortured twice under the dictator Daniel arap Moi, but continued speak out. He had earned a seat at the table.

Edward and I met afterward in Chicago, where I had arranged to meet the directors of the Parliament of the World’s Religions. Edward taught sociology, and also did some counseling after the bombing of the American embassy in Nairobi, the precursor to 9.11.

We stayed in the same room, and I asked about his being arrested and tortured. He gave harrowing details, but said the worst of it was that at first he couldn’t sleep, both because his captors and his own mind wouldn’t let him. He knew he wouldn’t live if he didn’t sleep, so he trained himself to go to sleep in seconds, which he did immediately after we stopped talking.

I lied awake, thinking of his ordeal, and because he was the loudest snorer I’ve ever heard. (Fortunately I brought fitted earplugs or I wouldn’t have gotten a wink that night.)

The next day over lunch and a beer following our meeting, he asked me, “My compatriots in Kenya and I want to know who will win the election, Al Gore or George Bush?”

‘Gore will never be president, I’m sorry to say,’ I replied.

“Why not?”

‘Because when he was a senior senator prior to the first Gulf War, he voted for the invasion of Iraq after Bush, Baker and Scowcroft tacitly greenlighted Saddam Hussein to invade Kuwait, as Ambassador Glaspie has testified. That was the ‘good Gulf War,’ but it was the straw the broke the spirit’s back in America. That’s when we lost our soul as a nation.’

Having foreseen and written in this column that both Bush and Trump would win the presidency, and why, and what they would bring with them, I take no pleasure or pride in being right, just persevere in being heard before it’s too late.

An erudite professor tells us that we must remain blind, that “we must accept what we are, in any case, condemned to do in life: tap and step, tap and step, tap and step,” like blind men and women “tapping our canes in the fog.”

That’s not an adequate diagnosis, much less prescription. It isn’t a matter of “knowing what is going to happen,” or the straw man of “litigating the past and demanding certainty about the future.” It’s a matter of opening one’s eyes to what is happening inwardly and outwardly, and of ceasing to move headlong in a self-centered consumeristic direction as the earth and humanity go over the cliff.

It’s true that carbon-fueled capitalism and global financialization, as well as the nation-state system, and the Enlightenment ideals that formed the basis of modern democracy, are collapsing before our eyes. However the crisis is much deeper, in what we glibly call human nature, and more accurately refer to as the cognitive revolution, which gave rise culture and civilization as we’ve known them.

Other than scientific knowledge, which can and should continually expand, cumulative consciousness has run its course and is saturated with darkness. Therefore we face a crisis of consciousness itself based on psychological memory and identification. Man the tribal animal must end for the human being of insight to emerge.

At this point a leap in consciousness simply means stepping out of the old polluted stream. Indeed we are not individuals at all until we step out of the stream of the old consciousness.

We have the capacity, and it is our birthright as human beings to end the old so that there is the space for the new to grow. It’s not a matter of will, but of observation, intent, negation, insight and action as single movement of creation.

1. Josh and Aaliyah both got scratched.  On their arms they had 3 scratch marks – a disrespect for the Trinity.
2. Rob captured a face in the window in one photo and the very next photo, there is no face in the window.  The face is very distinct.3. Big Al, Deanna and I, investigated the front of the house and Deanna saw a blue orb with her eyes and Big Al takes a photo of her and there is a ghostly opossum on top of her head in the photo.  Later Deanna picks up on a small ghostly horse and we get an EVP of a horse whinny sound.4. We get 3 EVPs by 3 different investigators in which the entity identifies himself as “Harold” (not Buddy).5. We feel hot spots and we feel cold spots in the bedrooms.6. We capture a Class A EVP in which the male entity says to Kiandra and Aaliyah “you so bad”.7. Josh felt something tapping her shoulder in the bedroom.  I felt something tapping my shoulder outside in front of the house.  Deanna felt something caressing her face and Kiandra felt something caressing her face.8. One of the investigators captures what looks like an energy parasite floating out from the bedroom wall.9.  We capture numerous EVPs throughout the house and outside in the front yard.  Some of the EVPs are full on sentences.10.  When we capture the EVPs, it appears that the entities were following Kiandra and Aaliyah.
11.  EMF spikes were captured on Aaliyah’s arm where she got scratched.12. Josh has equipment that will play music when something is in front of it.  This equipment started playing music when possibly an entity was walking past it.  The equipment went off a few times and no one was near this equipment.13. Josh’s static indicator showed signs of static electricity in areas of the bedroom.14. Sally used the night vision goggles and saw a shadow anomaly near the kitchen.

THE CLEANSING:Kiandra and Aaliyah may have an attachment, so to be on the safe side, I gave them both a full submersion baptism in the bathtub, afterwards they both felt protected, but feel the same as before the baptism.  Deanna counseled both of them after the baptism.  Deanna then proceeded with her metaphysical home cleansing and I conducted a Roman Catholic house blessing with Kiandra and Aaliyah.  After everything was said and done Deanna did some palm reading tonight with Kiandra, Aaliyah, Sally and Julie.  Deanna left Sherry a cleansing care package.  Thank you Sherry for providing sodas, coffee, tea for the investigators.  We arrived at this home at 6pm and finished by midnight, it was a long investigation, but it was packed with paranormal evidence.  Very amazing night.

THE REVEAL:We never found Buddy the Ghost, but we sure did find Harold the Ghost.  Harold the Ghost may just be the ghost known as “Buddy”.  I hope that the baptisms and cleansing will bring peace and harmony to this family.  This family is precious and loving and they only deserve the best.

Drivers Ignoring Coronavirus Restrictions in Costa Rica

Almost 4,000 drivers have been fined for disrespecting the sanitary vehicle restriction. In total, they will pay ₡371 million which will go to a fund to help those most affected by covid-19.

The fine was initially ₡23,415 but it was increased to ₡107,000 and the removal of the license plates, after so many were disrespecting it. May people contest the removal of their plates. Cosevi has 14,800 appeals to deal with, including those related to other traffic regulations.

The night time vehicle restriction has been reduced. It was between 7 pm and 5 am but is now from 10 pm to 5am on weekdays and remains 7 pm to 5 am weekends. The exceptions to the restriction remain the same.

New Cases of Coronavirus in Costa Rica

While we rejoice at the news that people are recovering from covid-19 in Costa Rica, we must look at this in light of new cases emerging. For example, one day, 2 people recovered and 16 people became infected.

There have been 882 patients thus far. 10 have died. 18 were placed in hospitals, including five in intensive care. 577 recovered. They are from 59 cantons. While we saw a decrease in cases and restrictions were opened up a bit we are now seeing an increase again.

The Health Minister warns that we must stay vigilant in hand washing, social distancing, using protective gear, and staying in our social circles, in other words with those we live with.

One tricky issue is that of the transportation of goods. All countries in the region need transportation of food and supplies, however, 50 drivers transporting such products were stopped at the border because they tested positive. They may test negative because of the incubation period and later be positive and infect others without knowing. 1 infected person infects about 17 others, generally.

Another issue is public demonstrations. Those who participate and do not respect a distance of 1.8 meters and use protective gear and those who raise their voices expelling saliva which can spread covid-19 can be fined up to a base salary, which is ₡450.200.

The Crisis Is First Inward, Not Outward

Sometimes the clearest way to view current events is through the lens of recent history. Contrary to the pundit class, we’re not living in a different world. It’s the same old shit recycled and accelerated.

Invited to the Soviet Union just after the fall of the Berlin Wall, it was as if my mother’s refrain, which went in one ear and out the other, had gone from her mouth to Russians’ ears. “When the Russians finally throw off the chains of communism,” she’d intone, “we Americans will be there to help them build a democracy and market.” Sure, when hell freezes over I’d reply.

Though I scoffed in my teens, providence apparently had other plans. I met a leading example and spokesman for perestroika in San Francisco at a now quaint-sounding event called “Soviets, Meet Middle America.” He invited me to Moscow, and I went a month later, in the middle of January 1990.

I didn’t go unprepared. In a few weeks I put together a team in Silicon Valley, where I lived at the time, and met with top executives from a broad spectrum of American business, from aerospace to the forerunner of Costco. The mission statement and motto of my partners and I was “As the USSR collapses, to help Russians build an ecologically and ethically sound market.” We told Americans we needed them almost as much as they needed us.

Initially it all looked very promising, both in the US and when I got to the USSR. Russians loved Americans at that time, and I was greeted with warmth and hospitality everywhere I went. In America, Russia was the bogeyman of the right, rather than the left as it is now.

To this day I don’t know if there ever actually was a chance for America and Russia to work together. But I’m having the same feeling now that I had that spring on my return to California. Of course the pandemic in America and across the world is much more immediate and dire, but the moral failure and failure of imagination are the same.

The pandemic is intensifying the crisis of human consciousness, as well as the opportunity and urgency to change course that was squandered with the end of the Cold War.

Did you see where a majority of Russians now view Putin as bored and disengaged during the pandemic? He’s holed up in one of his dachas, with many Russians viewing him as “a scared old man hiding in his bunker.”

An incident occurred in Russia 30 years ago that seems very relevant to today. After spending some days in Leningrad (over a vodka toast one night I predicted that it would soon be St. Petersburg again) I returned to Moscow to find that I had no place to stay. They had burst the bubble I was in to show me the power they had over me.

My interpreter, an extremely competent and tough woman, said, “You don’t understand, if you don’t have people taking care of you in Russia during the winter, you die.” We certainly couldn’t stay on the streets with the temperature near zero Fahrenheit, or in her apartment with two children, her parents, and alcoholic husband.

We went into a hotel lobby. I said I needed an hour alone. After calming myself I asked: Is this first an inner or outer crisis?

I held the question for some minutes until the insight came that it was first an inner crisis, not an outer one. At that moment I saw what to do.

I had met an American on the flight into Moscow who was on her eighth trip to the USSR as liaison for Russian and American post-docs studying for stints in the universities of the Cold War enemy. I asked if I could contact her if anything seriously went wrong.

We took Moscow’s beautiful subway and arrived at Carol’s flat. I went in alone. “They do this sometimes,” she said, “when they want to get rid of Americans they no longer have any use for. This is the worst I’ve seen. You’ll have to leave on the first plane out tomorrow. You can sleep on my couch tonight.”

When I returned to my interpreter, everything had miraculously been re-instated, from a nice room in a hotel next to the Kremlin, to a fine meal at the luxurious flat of a mainstream newspaper editor. No coincidence!

The truth is that the US collapsed at the same time the USSR did, just internally (socially and morally) rather than externally (economically and politically) as in Russia. It’s just taken this long for it to become undeniable.

After 9.11, America became obsessed with security and safety. Now Trump, who admittedly acts as an obese “cheerleader” for the American economy while demonstrating the antithesis of leadership with regard to the pandemic, is pushing people to put profits and pleasure ahead of security and safety.

Will it work in the same perverse and unbalanced way it has for the last 30 years? The American economy is 80% psychology, so we’ll soon see.

One thing is for sure–the present crisis is first inward, not outward, and metaphysical more than physical.

The Mischievous Spirit of Concord

Date to be there: May 9, 2020, Saturday. Time to be there: 5pm.  Contact Person: Diane. Address to be at: xxx Getoun Drive, Concord, CA. Case # U925671Y6972.  Activity: Mischievous spirit keeps hiding items from the occupant and her roommates. Many items are permanently gone. She wants the entity out of the house, needs cleansing.  Special Note:  A paranormal investigator in the bay area contacted us about this case.  While this paranormal investigator was on his way to this investigation, he got into a car accident and broke his leg. The case was given to HPI.

THE INVESTIGATION:

After the briefing from Diane, Deanna did a walk through in the backyard, side of the house, front yard, inside of the house. Please watch the videos above. The videos will explain everything.  Diane, who owns the home, along with Kat (her former roommate) explain all of the activity seen and heard in this house.  As Deanna did her walk through, she was exploring the backyard and came upon an area where she felt a “gray white cat” and then said she felt something could be buried there.  To my amazement, Kat yelled out to us that a pet cat was buried there, the cat is gray and white.  Then on the side of the house, Deanna felt the energy of a little boy playing with his ball.  Later on, another roommate showed us a couch that was going to be thrown out.  This couch was the subject of some strange paranormal activity.  Please watch the above videos as the roommate explains what happened with this couch.  Since I felt this couch was a hot spot, I did an EVP session at the location of the couch, touching the couch during the EVP session.  I asked the entity to say hello and the entity in a Class A EVP response says “hello”, it was the voice of a little boy.  Diane says she would envision a little boy in the backyard that may have drowned in the pool that was previously built there.  When the new pool was built, that is when they discovered the old pool.

Deanna kept seeing a silhouette of a man by the doorway and later in other parts of the house.  Diane shows Deanna a picture of a man she was very close to, named “Danny”.  This is the man that Deanna was seeing in the house.  Diane has been constantly thinking of Danny who died at the age of 65 of alcoholism.  Danny even goes into Diane’s dreams.  We capture an EVP of a man saying “no” that he does not want to go into the light.  This “no” EVP was possibly Danny.  Deanna during her walk through came upon some negative energy in the hallway (near a vent) and Kat and her friend verified that there is negative energy from where the vent was.  Special Note, when we captured the two EVPs, we had with us one of Diane’s roommates to witness the EVP capture.

THE CLEANSING:

Deanna conducted a metaphysical cleansing and I conducted a Roman Catholic house blessing.  I also did a “sprinkle on” baptism on Diane and 2 of her roommates.  I want to thank Diane for giving us oranges, kumquats, grapefruits, lemons to take home and supplying us with soda and water during the investigation.  Diane even gave Deanna some rosemary for future smudge wands.  Special Note: I believe that Danny is the Mischievous Spirit of Concord.

RINA THE ANGEL
Special Note:  I received a beautiful message at Sacramento Paranormal Help from Melody Middleton, in which she sends her blessings and tells me that an angel named Rina is trying to get my attention.  I always call upon angels to help me, when I conduct my house blessings and it’s so nice to know that an angel like Rina is around to assist me in my paranormal journey.  Thank you Melody for this information!

Costa Rica Hotels are Reopening

The ICT and Costa Rican Tourism Institute came together with the chambers of the private sector and hotels to reopen medium establishments, those with up to 20 rooms, following the application of new sanitary guidelines, as soon as this Saturday.

The agreed upon protocols go from increasing cleanliness to what to do if a case of covid-19 is suspected. Alcohol gel must be available in common areas, workers must wash hands at least once per hour, and personnel will be required to wear gloves and masks. Additionally, 1.8 meters will be marked between people and virtual payments encouraged in order to reduce the contact between employees and guests.

Deep cleaning in rooms should include remote controls, door handles, closets, drawers, light switches, lamps, and coffee makers, in addition to toilets, sinks, showers, and beds.

Hotels are encouraged to expand on these measures as well. They may choose to set up rugs to clean shoes on before entering and initiate a second cleaning of the rooms in the afternoon, for example.

Things are looking up for the tourism sector. Small hotels, with up to ten rooms, were able to open as of May 14th. One hotel reported filling all ten rooms and even having to reject requests.

Costa Rican Journalist Awarded Pulitzer Prize

A Costa Rican journalist is proud to have been awarded the first Pulitzer Prize for a radio broadcast, for her work “The Out Crowd.” She researched for nine-months to put this piece together, interviewing migrants and immigration officials on the Mexico-U.S. border.

The audio-journalist, Nadia Reiman, lived in the U.S. since she was eight-years-old. When the “Stay in Mexico” immigration policy came into effect, in January 2019, she could not sit by. She had to get on the front lines and tell the stories of those fleeing violence, adrift waiting for possible entry into the U.S. She put them together and broadcast it on “This American Life,” an audio journalism program that goes out via radio, iTunes, and Spotify.

She sees the Pulitzer as a stamp of approval that says her work is important and should be heard. It’s an achievement that she “would never have imagined.” She prides herself in knowing that what she puts out is well-researched and true. She found reliable sources of first-hand information of the hardships faced by those turned away from the U.S. to wait in Mexico.

The journalist found that many of the immigration officials believe they are forced to do something illegal, send people back to harm. While people used to be let into the U.S. and have a trial to prove their asylum case, most are now interviewed about specifically Mexico, even if they are from another country. Most can not show proof of credible threats in Mexico so they are turned back to wait there.

Can Human Nature Change?

The mind, as the word is usually used, means the movement of thought in the brain. But there is another meaning to the word mind–a quality of awareness and attention that transcends and silences the mind-as-thought. Can Mind in this sense be predominant, in the brain, and in relationship?

It’s essential to let go of enslavement to belief systems, and not be enchained to any tradition, technique or teacher. Belief of any sort is a conditioning that binds the mind, denying the direct perception of truth and the sacred. So the first step for a serious person, a person who really wants to be free, is to question belief and tradition within oneself.

With regard to spiritual and inward matters, there really are no teachers. One must be one’s own teacher. There is only learning, which is not accumulative psychologically and spiritually, but occurs through negating all one has experienced and thinks one knows. Stay away from people who have an image of themselves as teachers.

The peddlers of particular paths have a clever expression: “There are many paths to truth.” That’s false however. There is no path to the truth. One perennially begins where one is, and negates the grooves and habits of thought simply through undivided observation to the movement of thought and emotion.

So there is no technique, no method and no ‘practice.’ They are all products of thought, will and time, and negating thought, will and time is the true meaning of meditation.

No one can teach a person how to meditate, because there is no ‘how.’ One can only observe, experiment and question—at once seriously and playfully —within oneself, without any goal or guide.

So if one has the urge to meditate, what do you do? First, do nothing, and be fine with it. Drop all inward goals, which can be very subtle. End the separate observer by catching the mind in the act of dividing itself from itself. In philosophical terms, the observer is an infinite regress,’ which is true in more ways than one given the way things are headed. The observer lies at the root of human disorder.

Awakening meditation requires an intense passive watchfulness, allowing an effortless quickening of awareness, as well as the willingness to let go rather than return to control when the ground beneath the conscious mind begins to dissolve. Undirected attention and spontaneous insight act on the brain, quieting the mind-as-thought and renewing and transforming the brain.

Though thought is the impediment to clarity and wholeness, thought is not a movement in opposition to our true nature. There is no such thing as “true self.” To think and to have thoughts is part of human nature.

But so-called human nature can and must change. Attending to and negating the movement of thought transcends the limitations and obstructions to growing as a human being. To go beyond the mind-as-thought, one has to have deep and lasting intent to understand one’s own mind, which is the mind of humankind.

It’s an exquisitely beautiful afternoon in the parkland, and thought there are many people on the roads trails and pedestrian roads, a sense of serenity pervades the ribbon of water and foliage that runs through town.

The sitting at streamside induces a meditative state quickly, with attention initiating the movement of negation, which in turn acts on the mind-as-thought without effort. As often happens in the deeper states of meditation, one becomes aware of the omnipresence of death, which is happening at the cellular level every moment and is in our every breath. It’s strange how death and love go together. When one is fully present, they feel inseparable, and flow through one like the lightly lapping waters of the creek.

A hundred meters upstream, a sister and her younger brother are having a rollicking good time in the water. The girl leads them downstream and then up again, over a washboard section of the creek. The boy cannot contain his joy. For the better part of an hour, he periodically shouts over and over: “I’m free, I’m free!”

Retired American Murdered in Atenas, Costa Rica

A retired American and his sentimental partner were murdered in Atenas. The Judicial Investigation Organization conducted raids on Saturday night and arrested four people who had seized the home of the deceased. One of the suspects was the deceased couples’ housekeeper.

The murdered couple lived in Vista Atenas. The victims, a retired lawyer and a Costa Rican woman, disappeared at the end of April. Their bodies were found on Calle Arredondo when the authorities were called to put out a fire.

It seems they were killed in another location and their bodies moved in a vehicle to the location they were found. The vehicle has been seized. A fire was set to destroy evidence and mask their identities. An autopsy is pending to confirm the woman’s identity.

Firefighters found the bodies at 8:45 pm and 8:59 pm. while they were putting out the fire. The bodies were three meters away from each other. The property where they were found was used to grow mangoes. Between 200 and 300 cubic meters of the farm were burned.

Costa Rica Records 7th Death from Coronavirus

A seventh death from covid-19 was suffered in Costa Rica. The victim was an 80-year-old foreigner. He was a resident of Alajuela and was hospitalized in Liberia. All previous deaths occurred in the Greater Metropolitan Area.

The man had a number of other conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and high blood pressure. These, as well as old age, are risk factors for contracting the coronavirus.

Prior to this case, the last death from covid-19 in the country was on April 20th. There were 20 days without deaths. Many restrictions have eased and people let their guard down. Authorities stress the importance of continuing social distancing and hand washing.

12 new positive cases were discovered yesterday. The total number of cases in the country is 792. The virus affects men and women, children, adults, and seniors. Everyone can do their part to protect the most vulnerable by staying home as much as possible.

Being Is the Home of Language

Jogging up a wide path in the city park after an intense meditation at streamside, I spot a large animal leisurely walking away about 200 meters away. It’s the size and shape of an average dog. But it wasn’t a dog, and it had spotted me first.

The animal stopped and turned to look at me at about 100 meters, and then again at 75 meters, before scooting into the brush around a turn. I didn’t think I’d be able to confirm its identity.

But as I made the turn and looked to the right, there it was, less than 5 meters away, standing on a log staring at me. A coyote, the closest I’ve ever been to one and the first and only one I’ve seen in the quarter-mile wide park that runs through this mid-size town.

In a meditative state, without the filter of memory and the shadow of the known, one’s senses are sharp and attuned, and the mind is quiet and present. Thus I found myself standing face to face with a full-grown coyote in the prime of its life, its gray bushy tail held out straight, its ears up, and its eyes piercingly alert. The encounter was at once completely incongruous, and totally natural.

We stood motionless staring at each other for timeless seconds, perhaps 20 seconds altogether. I could feel its curiosity and intelligence.

The species barrier fell away. We were simply two beings looking at each other, a large, healthy animal in the middle of the man-made world, and a human in a meditative state suddenly transported beyond the world.

Then something happened that didn’t seem unusual at the time, but I later realized was extraordinary. For a moment, it felt as though the human being was looking through the coyote’s eyes, and the coyote was looking through the human being’s eyes.

A cyclist came riding up the path, and I turned to look. Though the cyclist was out of the coyote’s line of sight, when I looked back the next second it was gone. The fissure in time and space, the opening to a dimension beyond separate species, had closed.

I returned to the world of cyclists and runners, ostensibly as one of them. But something had changed within one.

Native Americans often spoke about such experiences, and their myths flowed from them. The coyote figured prominently in these myths. For some tribes coyote was viewed mainly as a trickster, for others a transformer.

All myths are really about humans and their place in nature, as well as man’s powers over the earth and in the world. In the Native American tradition, the creative and destructive powers of humans were projected onto the coyote above all animals, a power potentially for good but increasingly for ill on earth.

According to Crow and Plains traditions, the coyote was second only to the Spirit Chief in its powers of creation. “Old Man Coyote took up a handful of mud and out of it made people,” they believed. “Old Man Coyote named buffalo, deer, elk, antelope and bear. And all these came into being,” the Crow said.

That pregnant idea carries Heidegger’s assertion that “language is the house of being” to its logical conclusion. The naming of animals and objects is not just central to what makes us human; in this worldview naming is what brought us and everything else into being. (“And God said…”)

Clearly, the human capacity for language evolved in nature and from nature. But it also removed us and alienated us from nature. Contrary to Crow myths, other animals don’t name things. Like most modern day philosophers and scientists, the Crow attempted to heal the divide by blurring the existential difference between humans and nature.

So is “language the house of our being?” As our consciousness is, yes; as our consciousness can be, no. One’s encounter with the coyote was beyond words, and the separation words inevitably produce.

When the mind is completely attentive and quiet (certainly not its baseline state, even for someone who has meditated all his adult life), the stillness of being is the source of language, and our true home, where the mind rests and language and culture are renewed.

6 Survival Tips For The Outdoorsy

If you are an outdoorsy type of person, you definitely know how to enjoy the fresh air and all the wonders of nature. You probably also know how to gear up properly for your outdoor activities, in order to be prepared for all kinds of situations. In fact, gearing up is the first step you need to take when embarking on an adventure. You cannot go hiking in your old sneakers, for example.

When any kind of outdoor adventures are in question, people don’t want to think about accidents, emergencies and lurking dangers. It might take the fun out of your activity for a couple of moments, but the truth is, you definitely need to think about it. Going unprepared increases your chances of injury and even death, and no matter how gruesome it is to even take that into consideration, every professional will make sure to be prepared for all kinds of unwanted scenarios.

When deciding to go on an adventure, you should do the same. There are a lot of useful tips and tricks you can find at Survival Methods and similar places online to help you stay safe and stay alive during your venture. Don’t assume that you know it all and don’t choose to manage situations and emergencies as they appear, without getting any prior knowledge. Sure, dealing with emergencies on the spot is a necessary trait of any adventurous person, but you still need to know how to deal with them before they occur.

Even if you never end up in and emergency, learning how to get out of them successfully will save you a lot of trouble. It is always better to be safe than sorry and, when nature is in question, one can never be prepared enough. That’s why I have prepared a few useful survival tips for all the outdoor persons setting out on an adventure. Some of them might seem trivial to you and you might think that they are common knowledge that everybody is aware of, but they are worth repeating over and over again.

It’s completely normal that you cannot be prepared for every single thing that might happen, but that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t do your best to get prepared for most of them. As I have already mentioned, you might not even need to use these tricks if everything goes smoothly, but if you learn them, you will know exactly what to do in case you find yourself in a pickle. Let’s get started with the tips.

How To Make A Fire Signal

A fire signal might come in handy in multiple situations, but you need to know how to create it. A fire that produces little to no smoke won’t do you any good, because you need thick smoke if you want someone to notice it. For this signal, you will need pine and spruce leaves. Once you have built a small fire using twigs and branches, cover it with spruce and pine leaves. They will cause the branches to burn intensely and produce more smoke.

Read a few more tips on how to send a smoke signal: https://adventure.howstuffworks.com/survival/wilderness/how-to-send-smoke-signal1.htm

How To Retain Body Heat

Sometimes, you might get caught in cold weather, without the option of creating a fire. In those cases, knowing how to retain body heat will be a life-saving tip. Gather dry grass, leaves and any newspapers that you might have and stuff it under your clothes in order to retain as much heat as possible. This will make a significant difference in keeping you warm, which is why it is a great short-term solution.

How To Get Water From Trees

If you run out of water, you will definitely start panicking. Luckily, nature has something in store for you. Put a clean plastic bag around the leaves of a tree. It’s best to find trees directly exposed to the sun, because the sun is responsible for making water evaporate out of leaves. When you put the bag around the leaves, the water will evaporate directly into it and you can later store it in a container of your choice.

How To Relieve Bug Bites

Bug bites are very annoying and don’t let anyone convince you that they are not a big deal. Of course, there are worse things that can happen, but that doesn’t mean that you should just make your peace with the pain and the itching, especially when there is a way to get relief. Make sure to pack some toothpaste when you set out. Among other things from your home, such as the ones found on this page, toothpaste will help relieve the pain, the itchiness and the swelling of the bug bites.

How To Get Noticed In The Dark

Sometimes you will want to be spotted by rescue groups or someone else. That can be a bit tricky when it is pitch black and shouting and screaming won’t help you if there are no people nearby. That’s why it is a good idea to carry glow sticks with you. These can come in handy and help you get noticed in the dark.

How To Wash Wounds

The most common mistake that people make when they get injured is using any kind of water to wash the wounds. You should never, ever use dirty water on your wounds. Instead, you can boil the water if you have the time and the resources, or you can bring purifying tablets with you, which will turn unclean water into clean.

24 Holy Fruits

Almonds:
Nuts are fruits in most cases. In botanic terms, nuts are strictly a particular kind of dry fruit that has a single seed, a hard shell, and a protective husk. Tree nuts such as chestnuts, hazelnuts, pecans and walnuts are the fruit of their trees. Almonds are said to help with financial matters. In Greek mythology, Nana is a daughter of the Phrygian river-god Sangarius, identified with the river Sakarya, located in present-day Turkey. She became pregnant when an almond from an almond tree fell on her lap.

Apples:
Apples are symbolic of Aphrodite, goddess of beauty and love. When one cuts an apple, there is a pentagram inside outlined in seeds and so therefore represents life and magick. Apples were said to be the fruit that was bared of the tree of knowledge and in fact, the fruits in the bible were all compared to gifts or spiritual properties. Apples appear in many religious traditions, often as a mystical or forbidden fruit. Apples in religion, mythology and folktales is used as a generic term for all (foreign) fruit, other than berries, including nuts, beginning late as the 17th century.

Apricots:
Apricots are grown all over Israel and surrounding countries today. They have also been suggested as the “golden apples of the Hesperides.” Bringing back the golden apples of the Hesperides was one of the twelve labors of Hercules in Greek mythology, assigned to the hero in atonement for murder of his love. Apricot is considered to be a fruit of freshness. Seeing them in a dream means fresh opportunities related to wealth and business. On the sea, bananas were considered a source of bad luck for ships carrying other types of fruits as well.
