Costa Rica Coronavirus Restrictions for August

There are some interesting changes coming to the restrictions in cantons under yellow and orange alerts. August will start with 9 days of an opening phase followed by 12 days of closure and then another opening phase will run from August 22-30.

Services and establishments allowed to operate fully can do so from Monday to Sunday without time restriction. Those restricted to 50% occupancy are also able to operate each day without time restriction.

More services will be open. We will have the chance to go to pools, beaches, gyms, museums, art and dance academies, and movie theaters, for example, as long as we respect the social distancing and mask wearing requirements. For adventure activities, masks must be worn while getting safety equipment on but can be taken off during the actual activity. At movie theaters, we can sit with those in our social bubbles but must respect distance between the bubbles.

Vehicles will be restricted differently in the closed and opening phases. During opening phases, there will be just two days per week you can’t drive whereas during the closed phase there will be just two days a week that you can drive.

Costa Rica University Producing COVID Ventilators

UCR is producing ventilators that are on schedule to be used in October for covid-19 patients. Over the next few days, Respira-UCR will undergo a second phase of animal testing to be followed with human testing in September.

The first trial was on human-like simulators then another was done on two pigs. The next test will include 7 pigs. These animals are chosen because of their anatomical similarities to humans. Protocols were approved by the International Committee for the Care and Use of Animals of the UCR and the tests were done with doctors and veterinarians present.

A commercial ventilator costs between $30,000 and $50,000, while the one designed at the UCR costs about $4,500. It’s development included professors and students from many schools of the UCR and has the support of the CCSS, the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Telecommunications, as well as private companies that provided materials and funding.

Nearby countries, including Nicaragua and Honduras, have requested the devices as soon as they are in production. A group of Costa Rican doctors plans to buy some to send to Nicaragua.

Talkin’ Bout My Generation

Few generations in the history of civilization have shown more promise in their youth but been more of a disappointment in their adulthood and aging than my generation, the “Boomers,” spanning the years from 1944 to 1964.

We started a counter-cultural movement, only to sell out en masse. We set out to change the culture, only to generate an increasingly reactionary backlash beginning epitomized by Ronald Reagan and Bush Senior, followed by Bush Junior, and now the miasmic Donald Trump, interrupted by the Clinton and Obama interregnums.

The founder of the Utne Reader, Eric Utne, wrote recently about how much a young Native American man moved him when he said, “You baby boomers have forgotten who you are. It’s time to step back up and finish what you started.”

With all due respect to Mr. Utne, I don’t think the vast majority of my generation ever knew who we were. Why else would we be spending our retirements in a “self-care” and “wellness” haze, having tried every mind-altering substance and following every self-proclaimed guru to come down the pike?

As Utne wrote, many of us “believed that we were living at the dawn of a new age and that the world was getting more democratic, just and free through the power of love.” That sounds risible now, and is heartbreaking as America sinks deeper into the muck every week.

Let’s be honest. The New Age movement has become a multi-billion-dollar industry of life-coaches, meditation teachers and retreat centers, practicing homogeneity while preaching “diversity.”

The children and grandchildren of the Boomers became, in the main, cynical by 17, wanting nothing more than to PAARTAY! They gave up on changing society as soon as they reached the age of moral consent, years before they could legally drink.

The maskless mass gatherings and massive house parties of 500 or more during a pandemic–these, not the Black Lives Matter protests fading into memory as the Feds snatch and grab protestors into unmarked vans–are the true legacy of my generation. ‘I don’t care about myself; why should I care about you?’ is what many young, raging nihilists feel in a society and world whose future looks as bleak as the backside to the moon to them.

If I’m being hard on my generational compatriots, it’s because the true things we had to offer in our youth—a radical perspective on this culture and a passionate innocence of spirit—were too readily surrendered conforming to what we knew was a rotten society. America’s “values” had been painfully exposed by the Vietnam War and a MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) arms race to build enough thermonuclear weapons to reduce the earth to radioactive ashes many times over.

Conservatives perceived the threat that ‘freaks,’ as we called ourselves, posed to “traditional American values.” Unlike us, they took the rejection of materialism, militarism and sexual mores seriously, and have been waging an economically and politically successful war against our brief burst of counter-culturalism every since.

I sympathize with Eric’s angst, but his prescription, “hope dies, action begins,” is as hollow as the hippie movement then, and white kids shouting “Black Lives Matter” now. (Why, more than 50 years after MLK and Malcolm X, is the phrase even necessary? The very saying marks a regression, not a progression of consciousness.)

Movements are inherently shallow, and legal redress, while necessary, does not imply social progress. Besides the fundamental premise of the countercultural movement remains facile, and false.

Utne proclaims, “Climate chaos, species extinction, mass migration and global conflict [much less systemic racism and gross economic disparity] are inevitable consequences of the techno-industrial system itself.” Ah yes, the fault still lies with “the system,” not in ourselves.

Stuck in the 60’s, he adds, “The hippie back-to-the-land movement, combined with grass roots political organizing, really was the way to go…we need a hyper-local Green New Deal.”

Egad, just as non-locality is proving valid and viable in physics, consciousness and culture, the aging hippies of my generation are calling for “hyper-locality.” It’s proof that hope and despair are just two sides of the same coin, and the old freaks can’t help but continue to flip it until they flip themselves and the rest of us out.

The false premise is the same now as it was then: “The techno-industrial system is the root of the problem,” rather than human consciousness and human nature. The upshot? We don’t have to change ourselves; we just need to “change the system.”

Utne concludes his piece by saying, “Some 25 years ago, a Tibetan friend told me his spiritual practice involved pondering death every day. This struck me as somewhat morbid at the time, but not so anymore. Now I, too, live with the thought of death daily.”

By “living with the thought of death” he means: “I’m not sanguine about the prospects for life on earth. I think we may even be on a path toward rapid economic collapse, climate chaos, social unrest, famine and near-term human extinction.”

Excuse me, but he completely misunderstands his Tibetan friend. The thought of death is not the actuality of death, much less an apocalyptic foreboding about the end of humankind. Indeed, such thoughts of death preclude communion with the ever-present actuality of death that comes with complete negation in methodless meditation.

An explosion of insight in the brain, and thereby human consciousness and culture, is urgently necessary, and possible. If and when it happens, it will bring about a new human being and new civilization.

Gyms in Costa Rica Struggling During COVID

Gyms and similar facilities, such as CrossFit studios, have had a real rough time with the pandemic. Each Friday, the sanitary restrictions for the next two weeks can change. Gyms were closed from July 11 to July 19. The measure continues until July 31 in areas under orange alert.

Some 20% of training centers in Costa Rica have already gone under, being unable to pay rent. Others have let staff go or looked for less expensive locations. Still others are striving to maintain activity in one form or another.

When allowed to open, they can do so at just 50% occupancy. Staff must wear masks. Social distancing must be enforced. After each use, machines must be deeply disinfected. Even the cost of cleaning supplies has affected the ability to stay in business.

To make a way, some gyms and centers offer virtual personal sessions to work out from home. Some even sell kits with weights or rent equipment. Some schedule live video classes via an app.

UK, EU and Canadian Tourists Going to be Allowed to Come to Costa Rica

Airports in Costa Rica are going to welcome tourists from the United Kingdom, Canada, and the European Union in a few days, yet experts recommend Costa Ricans put off traveling abroad for at least several more months due to economic uncertainty and the covid-19 pandemic..

Experts also point out that many locations have closed their attractions. Some may have limited access to hotels and food as well, greatly reducing the benefits of visiting them for the time being.

Those who feel they cannot put off leisure travel, as is recommended, may choose a destination where they have friends or family who can help them in the case of an airport closure or an isolation order from local sanitary authorities.

If you must travel for work or study, make sure to have an additional emergency budget available for unforeseen issues such as airport closures. Always keep a list of the numbers and locations of Costa Rican embassies and consulates nearby.

Ghost Mountain Ranch

The drawing depicted in this article is of Hoppy; Moon Goddess aka Deanna Jaxine Stinson; The Demon Warrior aka Paul Dale Roberts.  These 3 superheroes are known as The Trio.  They have been called on assignment to confront and defeat The Blue Demon of Taj Mahal.  It was a battle royal, but The Trio managed to subdue The Blue Demon and imprisoned him in a blessed sacred lead container and buried near the Taj Mahal. This drawing was created by Thomas Ahearn.

What is the Taj Mahal in India?
The Taj Mahal ‘Crown of the Palace’, is an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the southern bank of the river Yamuna in the Indian city of Agra. It was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan (reigned from 1628 to 1658) to house the tomb of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal; it also houses the tomb of Shah Jahan himself. The tomb is the centerpiece of a 17-hectare (42-acre) complex, which includes a mosque and a guest house, and is set in formal gardens bounded on three sides by a crenellated wall. The Taj Mahal is definitely haunted.  Tourists to the Taj Mahal have seen apparitions of what look like tourists sightseeing at the site and these ghostly tourists simply vanish.  I believe this is strong residual energy that resonates at this famous site.  A tourist named Raunak Patel from Indore, India says that he saw 3 men praying at the Taj Mahal on a prayer rug.  Raunak watched them for a while and they seemed to sparkle.  This caught Raunak’s attention and he kept watching them and then they exploded into small orbs.  After this happened, there was no trace of them or their prayer rugs.   Raunak says that these 3 praying men were ghosts!  If I wasn’t so busy fighting The Blue Demon as The Demon Warrior, I would have investigated the Taj Mahal…sigh.   Below I have a “blast from the past”.   It’s an old investigation story from the dusty files of HPI.  Please enjoy!

Ghost Mountain Ranch (From the Dusty Files of HPI)
I guess I have always had an interest in the paranormal. I remember as a little kid living in Monterey, I purposely went to the Robert Louis Stevenson House, because it was reputed to be haunted. I was a curious kid with a strong appetite for the paranormal and on a certain day way back when, I was playing hooky from school and decided to visit the Robert Louis Stevenson House. I guess at that young age of 13, I was already a ghosthunter. I have sought out the paranormal by visiting places like the Winchester Mystery House, the Mystery Spot in Santa Cruz, Tombstone’s OK Corral, the Tower of London, London’s infamous East End, the Bridge over River Kwai in Thailand and many other places that have a reputation of being haunted.

Even when I am home, I have sought out the paranormal in my own living quarters. I have taken hundreds of pictures of my home and never got one orb picture, let alone an ectoplasm type of picture. Now, let me digress, just recently I took a picture of my first orb. It was taken in the family room of my house. With my luck it’s only a dust orb and no ghosts followed me home.

Recently I had the pleasure of meeting a new HPI paranormal investigator/video choreographer named Bryan Coleman. He recently went on a scouting mission with some HPI members and I, to Covelo. It’s nice to have a guy like Bryan working with the team and I look forward to more film footage that he captures while working with us on various investigations.

When I am not ghosthunting, I enjoy reading books that deal with the paranormal. I will discuss two books that I am reading right now. The first book is ‘Dark Mission: The Secret History of NASA by Richard C.
Hoagland and Mike Bara’. There are some incredible photographs of the landscape of the moon, that seem artificial in design, such as The Shard (an anomalous vertical lunar feature that casts its own shadow – proving
that something is actually there and it’s not a photograph aberration). The Tower, The Castle (some sort of geometric object of unusual design), Crisium Spire, Face on Mars, Data’s Head (a head that looks like Star
War’s CP30 head – no kidding!) and Zond 3 Dome (a possible glass dome?). Richard also discusses NASA’s ties with the former SS Nazis and the direct ties it has with Freemasonry. This is a must read!

Another book I am reading is The Sirius Mystery by Robert Temple. This book looks at the Dogon tribe in Africa and how this tribe confirmed that there was a third star system in Sirius, something that our astronomers were unaware of and later were able to confirm. In this book you will find out why Sirius B is so important and how amphibious creatures with fish tails founded the Babylon and Dogon culture. Yes!
These amphibious creatures have a direct connection to Sirius and perhaps this is where our mermaid legends come from. With this book it tells about the return of the Nommos, that almost falls in the same category of the legend of the second coming. A very intriguing book that is hard to put down!

Now that I talked a bit about my early childhood and my fascination with the paranormal and a couple of books that I am reading, let’s talk about the Pollack Pines Investigation. Today is Sunday, December 23, 2007 and I am picking up fellow HPI paranormal investigator Chris Grissom and we are headed in my vehicle ‘Ghost Tracker’ to Nancy Bradley’s office and home in Placerville. There we will team up with Nancy’s husband Robert Reppert’s paranormal investigative team called Gold Rush Ghosts. As I arrive at Chris Grissom’s home, I show him an email printout. It’s an email that I recently received and I found it quite interesting. The guy who sent me the email claims he worked with the fire department in Mexico and he was sent out to locate three missing students. When they found the students, they had an interesting encounter with a UFO along with the alien occupants of this UFO. The aliens were collecting bugs around the Mexico desert.

Now onward with this investigation at Pollack Pines! Chris and I, arrive at Nancy Bradley’s home and waiting for us is Robert Reppert – Lead Investigator, Ronnie Roberts – Investigator – both work for Gold
Rush Ghosts. Robert has a beautiful pick-up with Gold Rush Ghosts plastered all over the back and side windows. We load up a ton of ghost hunting equipment and head over to Ghost Mountain Ranch in Pollock
Pines. When we arrive at this location, we are greeted by Angela DelGrande. She tells us that this location was once inhabited by the Miwok Indians. Angela introduces us to Carl Martin the owner of Ghost Mountain Ranch. Angela and Carl have a ton of ghost stories to share about Ghost Mountain Ranch. Here is a listing of some of the paranormal activities that happen here at this ranch. A ranch that looks like a
miniature model of Tombstone, Arizona:

1. Angela takes the team to infamous Cabin 13, where a picture of a full body apparition was taken by a tourist. There was a miner that was murdered on the property and this may be the reason that this is one of
the most haunted cabins in the area. The door has been known to be locked and will open on its own accord. I tested the door, it was locked and I managed to easily open the door. Robert checked out the door locking mechanism and found some discrepancies with the locking device, which could be the answer on why a locked door will open. Nancy Bradley who has visited Cabin 13 felt there may have been a drowning on this property in the 1920s. Note: There is a small pond near Cabin 13.

2. Orb lights have been seen darting here and there.

3. Music has been heard from the office area.

4. In the camping area, people have claimed to seen a mountain man walking about. People who stay overnight at this ranch have a name for this mountain man, they call him: ‘Old Mountain Man’.

5. At the miner’s cabin, a young boy fell from a great height and broke his neck, this is one of the tragedies that has happened on this property. People have felt negative energy at this location.

6. Doors start banging by themselves.

7. Strange noises are heard, the sounds of women laughing.

8. At the saloon, a patron claims his shirt was tugged or pulled.

9. A light figure darts across the room and is seen by patrons.

10. Stereo/CD Player turns on by itself and one song seems to be a favorite of the unknown entity, the song is Cheryl Crowe’s Leaving Las Vegas.

11. An employee runs out scared out of his wits, he sees an apparition with a green shirt on.

12. Employee sees another employee outside smoking and standing next to a stranger. When the employee is asked who the stranger was, the employee claims he was by himself and no one was standing next to him.

13. During storms, when the ions are energizing the atmosphere, the doors will swing open and shut by themselves, making a big ‘bam’ noise.
14. Mechanism device for slicer has been missing for two years and then one day appears magically on the center of the counter.

15. A patron loses his hearing aid at the saloon, returns home and finds the lost hearing aid at his home.

16. New Year’s Eve – doors flew open, doors slammed shut and doors shook like there was an earthquake. The unusual part of this, there was no wind outside.

Ghost Mountain Ranch is a very unusual place, let me try and describe it. I mentioned it looked like a miniature version of Tombstone, Arizona. Well, this is true, it has a small Western town inside, with an old saloon, arcade, jail, general store. It even has wells, a windmill and of course cabins. There is a horse stable not too far away. We even adventured down Old Creek Trail to Tee Pee Road (where there was once some real Indian Tee Pees at). There are two famous entities that haunt this location. There is Hans – the Old Miner (that was possibly murdered on this property) and the Old Mountain Man. When we checked out the Headmaster Cabin, we were told that the Old Mountain Man has appeared at this cabin. They say that Old Mountain Man is burly, wears a heavy jacket and large hat. When we were doing our investigation, the sound of ravens filled the air, which made the experience even more mystifying. Angela says that she always feels like something or somebody is watching her, her cats sometimes act like they see things that are not there.

When Angela was telling us this story, we could see the fog moving in slowly, talk about eerie! The ravens, the fog and all of these ghost stories! In the lodge area, guests have heard strange whistles, mysterious footsteps and the radio has turned on by itself many times. I met one of the guests, named Justin Dieteman. He tells me he has personally heard odd noises and footsteps. He has experienced the radio turning off and on by itself. He tells me that he knew of another patron being pushed and other patrons have witnessed items being flown off the shelves. Angela while giving us the grand tour, points to a well where patrons have heard women’s voices coming from the well. Angela tells me to make sure to interview Bryan Rogers of the General Store…so, I walk over to the General Store and introduce myself to Bryan Rogers and he tells me that he has heard people walking on the roof, he says it sounds like 2 people walking on the roof. (Note: We discover in our investigation, there is a roof ladder that leads to the roof, we theorize that possibly animals can easily walk up this ladder to the roof). He tells me about ashtrays sliding on the bar, seeing a shadow in the office area. He says that in the saloon his friend Carl was pushed by an unseen force. He has heard footsteps in the bathroom area. Bryan shows me the jail safe and at one time a patron told other patrons if they could get the safe open, he would give them a $100.00 bill.

The next day the safe was found mysteriously opened. No one claimed the $100.00 prize. Before I left, Carl says he has another story, but it doesn’t have anything to do with the ranch. He said at his own home he was visited by his friend Rick at the front doorway. Rick then somehow vanished. He learns a few minutes later that Rick died in a motorcycle accident. Later he finds out that Rick visited 6 other people on the day of his demise. He remembers this incident as if it happened yesterday. This experience will haunt him for the rest of his life. Shannon ‘Ms. Macabre’ McCabe calls and I give her a full report on our ongoing investigation, she asks later..”are you and Chris enjoying the snow?” I say…”what snow?” Hmmm…are we feeling the effects of global warming in Pollock Pines? Anyway, Shannon is pleased with the report.

Robert Reppert’s Findings:
Robert picks up spikes (from temperature gauge) throughout the property.
Chris Grissom and I investigate the outside perimeters. With my Listen Up Sound Enhancer, I pick up a male voice that sounds like it says ‘get out’. Chris and I hear a strange metallic grinding sound near the windmill. Robert Reppert discovers with a slight movement of the windmill, it will make a strange metallic grinding sound. Chris Grissom and I, smell burning wax outside of the Pony Express Building. Later the smell dissipates. Robert, Ronnie, Chris and I continue to investigate the outside perimeters. I am holding the thermal imager and pick up a heat source the size of a man, standing near the trees. We approach the heat source and at 15 feet, the heat source vanishes.

Robert Reppert’s CONCLUSION (Note: These are the exact words of Robert Reppert): “The site where the old west town is located has been reported to have been used for the old west show “The Virginian” in the 1960s’. Upon arriving, we found our host, “Angela” who related some of the history of the grounds as well as the tales of sightings and sounds. We at Gold Rush Ghosts have been to this site a few times for different events but have never been invited to do a full investigation before, so this was a great opportunity. We first went to Cabin 13, then to the old Miner’s Cabin, and then to the old west town. Cabin 13 was located next to an old man-made pond and it was reported to us that the door would sometimes come open even when slammed shut and locked. Upon researching the latch on the door, it was found that
the catch was not lined up with the door jam so that it would not fully engage and stay closed. The figure in the guest’s picture would be great to see and Angela is currently trying to get it for us.

We proceeded down what was called Teepee Rd. which was more of a trail than a road, and Angela showed us several campsites and also where they resided bear likes to eat. We soon arrived at the Old Miner’s Cabin and were allowed to search the building for any traces of spirit energy. The Building showed no abnormal signs or sounds according to our equipment. After this we moved on to the Old West Town. We set up our control base in the bar area where there was a stage for our camera equipment. We first conducted a sweep of each room with our EMF and Temp meters, keeping records of any spikes or places of interest for later use. After this we set-up the infrared cameras and recorders to see if we could catch any activity on film. We then proceeded to use the FLIR and other meters to see if we could confirm any of the reports of energy that we learned of with the interviews. When Paul and Chris came in from outside with the reports of hearing metal being dragged, I was intrigued to see if I could locate the source. With Rodney Roberts, Chris Grissom,

Paul Dale Roberts and I outside searching for the mystery sound I made the discovery that it only took a slight air movement to move the windmill and create the sound that they heard.

We were never able to identify where the candle wax smell came from or what was causing it. We were then let into what is called the Blacksmiths shop, which is kind of a game arcade, where there were reports of footsteps heard on the roof. The building has a tin roof and we soon located a set of steps leading to the roof level of said building. We also found several pine cones on the ground by the building. On a hunch, we conducted an experiment by having someone throw a pinecone onto the roof while the others listened inside. The ones inside related that it was really loud inside when the cone hit and that it sounded like steps when it rolled off. This led us back to the saloon area to reposition the cameras and continue researching the outside areas. When we returned to the yard area, we were using the FLIR and also taking flash phtography of the area and buildings when we found a large heat source on the FlIR. We followed the image as it appeared to duck behind the treeline and then reappear. We searched the area around the treeline and also the horse arena to see if the horses may be setting the camera off, but the arena was set to far down the
hill to be interfearing with the FLIR camera. We were never able to determine what the image was but we saved it for future reference. Gold Rush Ghosts and HPI will be doing further research into the Ranch as
well as the area surrounding it as to try and explain some of the tales related to us on this investigation. This is a very worthy site to visit, and one that we will look into in the future.”

Listen…Education Means to Draw Forth

It’s late morning, a typically hot summer morning inland in California. But a fine breeze blows through the brown hills, and it takes the edge off the heat, making the hike enjoyable.

Under a spotless sky, desiccated winter grasses shimmer a golden tan in the breeze. A careless match, or even a spark from an engine, could ignite a fire. I passed a charred area on the way in, which had been quickly extinguished.

A coyote left its scat on the trail in four places. The turds are as dry as the dirt around them. The message is clear: this is my home, not yours, human.

I climb up to within a hundred meters of the dark volcanic rock along the rim of the canyon, walking slowly. Descending along the trail that parallels the gravel road below into the canyon, I clamber down a steep and narrow section between huge granite boulders. Below them, the faintest trickle of water flows by, keeping a small patch of grass green during the rainless months. In the silence of the canyon, one can hear, in that single trickling note of water, the music of the universe.

A line from Thoreau comes to mind: “There is naked Nature, inhumanly sincere, wasting no thought on man.”

Sweating, I end the walk at the stream. I quickly strip down and slide into the cool water, floating down on the gentle current, swimming back upstream a number of times. The light reflects and refracts off the multi-colored rocks on the streambed.

True meditation is the most important thing, since without unwilled negation in meditation, the increasing darkness of human consciousness suffocates even the strongest spirit. Quieting and emptying the mind is the source of peace and insight, as well as the fountainhead of our own uniqueness as individuals.

Whether humankind changers course in our lifetimes or not, the awakening of intelligence in the individual is essential—sine qua non. A true individual is as the word literally means—not divided. A drop of water contains the ocean.

Passive, self-knowing observation is the foundation of method-less meditation, in which the chattering, destructive movement of thought spontaneously stops as attention gathers unseen deep within the brain.

When the inner foundation in the individual is poured through self-knowing and attention, only then will the outer, social dimension be adequately addressed.

For tens of thousands of years, the now dying human species has been based conditioning, complacently resigned as unavoidable political and consumeristic propaganda. A human being, on the other hand, grows in unconditioning herself through self-knowing, attention and insight.

Children seem to absorb conditioning as easily they absorb language. However if parents and teachers were attentively self-knowing, the child would be raised in completely different way, in a completely different atmosphere, and perhaps need not be conditioned at all.

Education is not merely the transmission of knowledge and the preparation for a career. Education literally means, “to draw forth” the potential of the child.

A malevolent POTUS wants children back in school not because he cares about them and their education, but because he and the dark forces within and behind him are worried that parents, teachers and children might actually begin learning in a new way.

Knowledge and skill are important aspects of education, but they are secondary to non-accumulative learning. Self-knowing (not self knowledge) is true “lifelong learning,” not continual acquisition of knowledge and skills.

Don’t try to teach children to meditate. It cannot be taught, just as listening cannot be taught, only conveyed and absorbed through example. Be attentive and self-knowing, and you’ll create an atmosphere of awareness and mindfulness. The space for listening and attending cannot be forced. Intentionally conditioning children is evil.

As the parent is responsible for creating an atmosphere of awareness and attention in the home, the teacher is responsible for creating an atmosphere of awareness and attention in the classroom, even if the classroom is outdoors.

Parents and teachers, begin the day by listening to the sounds around you with children. If you live in a big city, ask if they heard a bird. If you’re outdoors in a quiet setting, ask them to notice what happens in their minds and hearts when they deeply listen the sounds in their environment.

Hospital Workers in Costa Rica Quarantined Again

For the third time in a month, hospital workers had to be quarantined because a patient failed to mention close contact with a person positive for covid-19. The obstetrics-Gynecology service at the San Juan de Dios Hospital is “decimated.”

This medical center treated a pregnant woman on July 5th. Three days earlier, a patient came in for a caesarean section. Both concealed closeness to an infected person. Because of this, the hospital had to isolate 21 officials.

In total, 319 workers from that hospital have been isolated on suspicion of having been infected and 75 workers were diagnosed in the recent days. 7.6% of the hospital’s employees are either isolated or positive. The hardest hit service is surgery. 36 employees are in isolation pending results and 34 others tested positive. 13 of 15 operating rooms had to close. Only two surgical teams are working.

On Tuesday afternoon, it happened again. A pregnant woman received medical attention at the Max Peralta Hospital. She did not report that her husband was positive when screened at the entrance. It wasn’t until after treatment that she said she couldn’t stay in the hospital because her husband was sick. She then tested positive and three officials from the Gynecology External Consultation were forced into isolation. The same patient was treated the day before for an ultrasound so the doctor and nurse that treated her then were also sent home to isolation.

Costa Rica Cyclist Andrey Amador In Best Shape of Career

It’s been a year of change for Andrey Amador. He switched to Ineos. He’s trained differently due to covid-19. He is expecting a second child in November. They are happy to welcome the new member of the family.

He has enjoyed being with his colleagues and the assistants and staff. They’ve been training on the Teide volcano, in the Canary Islands. His first contact with the team was for the United Arab Emirates Tour but it got cancelled because of the start of covid-19.

They then had to train with masks and stay in individual rooms. They would stop for spread out picnics instead of coffee. Slowly, they are returning to normalcy.

He’s been impressed with Ineos. The team is well taken care of with a cook and services like massage and physiotherapy. Additionally, he’s been able to work on his English.

He’s looking forward to the return of competition after a pause forced by the covid-19 pandemic. He believes that after this forced pause every athlete will want to give their all.

He’s thankful to all his supporters in Costa Rica. He advises us to take covid-19 seriously as he has seen the terrible situation in Europe firsthand.

All You Need to Know About Fishing Charters

Boat owners and professional fishers provide you with a service labeled as “fishing charters” which is actually an excursion service that brings the people onto a specific body of water where fish such as tarpons are caught. Tarpons are not easy to lay hands on. They have specific months in which they appear more often. They are migrating fishes that give a tough time to fish catchers because of their instant moves. Fishing charters become a necessity when you aim at fishing a tarpon.

There is nothing like fishing charters. Just imagine how amazing it is to be deep enough in the water and coming across many bizarre and diverse species of fishes that you have not seen in real life before. Who wouldn’t love to be on a fishing trip? Especially when it’s an organized fish charter that makes you relaxed and boosts up your excitement.

If in case you have never been on a properly guided fishing trip or you are planning to go on a fishing excursion trip, and have not decided yet which fish charter you should go for, FKF Charters are there for you, providing you with an amazing chance to catch your targeted fish and ensuring that the captain and crew, all are professional enough to make your trip worth the money you pay.

To go on a fish charter trip, one key point to ensure that you enjoy it to the fullest is to stay patient. The entire trip is not spent just fishing. The captain and the crew will show and take you to many different spots where the fish is most likely to be found. You have to wait patiently until the fish bites your lines and comes forward. Many people don’t stay patient and ask the captain to move somewhere else because the fish takes more than longer to show up. The captain and the crew on the charter trip will help you with everything. It’s not that they’ll leave you on your own. They’ll be standing by your side and will be helping you in areas like reeling. At times you need some extra strength to reel up the wire and that’s where the crew helps you. Many times you have to cut the wire to let the fish go and at that point, the crew will help you instantly to prepare another reeling.

The main focus of a fishing charter is basically on fishing but there’s no denial to the fact that you can’t keep yourself from taking out some time and admire the nature around you. The sound on the water, warm sun on the top of you, cool breeze running around you, all give you a chance to appreciate the beauty and help in relaxing your mind.

When going on a fishing charter, always prepare yourself. Bring all the necessary items along that you will be requiring. Sunscreen, sunglasses, and hats are some of the things that people mostly bring along. The moment you start your trip, just make sure that you make the most out of it.  Although it’s all about fishing, there is a lot more to it and when you will be on one such trip, you’ll definitely know it!

Costa Rica COVID Restrictions for the Rest of July

One of the major changes to sanitary restrictions from July 18 to 31st is that it is now compulsory to wear masks at bus stops. Additionally, public transport may now operate regularly but without passengers standing. Home delivery service can work throughout the country.

There have been some areas that have dropped from an orange alert to a yellow alert. It’s important to know which alert you are under so as to follow the correct regulations.

In orange alert areas, vehicle circulation, by license plate number, is from 5am to 5pm and is to be used only for transfer to authorized establishments such as supermarkets, medical centers, banks, veterinary clinics and supply shops, hardware stores, and repair shops, among other similar establishment types. Restaurants, salons, shops, cinemas, museums, parks, bars, and places of worship are not allowed to operate on weekends.

In the rest of the country, which is under yellow alert, phase 3 of reopening is underway from 5am to 7pm. Places of worship can operate with a maximum of 75 people, hotels at 50%, restaurants, shops, museums, cinemas, and theaters on weekends at 50%, and beaches from 5am to 9:30am.

VAT Tax Exemption in Costa Rica Tourism Sector

Deputies approved two bills that would exempt construction and tourism sectors from the collection of the VAT for one year, even though an alternative source of revenue for the Government has not been specified.

The files 21,934 and 21,637 would slow down the tax collection that started last July 1, established by the Public Finance Strengthening Law. Both bills have been approved in the first debate with 44 votes in favor and none against.

Another proposal would keep tourist services exempt for another year and then as of July 1, 2021, they would pay a rate of 4%, then 8% as of July 2022. Finally it would be up to the general 13% as of July 2023. The argument against this is that entrepreneurs couldn’t transfer to clients the VAT that they don’t pay for their supplies. Another plan would have allowed tourism providers to increase profits by charging 4% VAT and granting tax credits. This was not approved.

The exemption from VAT in construction extends to related services like engineering, architecture, topography, and civil construction. This is important because this sector contributes over 8% of the GDP and over 16% of direct and indirect employment. This extension will help reactivate the economy.

Dreams are Real

Dreams are the easiest way for our subconcious to take over our mind. Because whatever is in our minds and emotions that we try to repress, will come up here. Spirits can easily crossover here as well too. There are many meanings to dreams and many ways to interpret them as well. In fact, you will find in most cultures, significant difference between symbolic interpretation and connotation as well.

It’s best to understand what spirits and angels are closest to you, to help you understand these divine messages. They are meant to bless you, and never hinder you, but to kill those habits and patterns, we become stuck spiraling in, so much so that the God’s intervene with their hands to help us proceed. Though are minds are like wheels charging forward, there is none before or ahead of us. It is simply an illusion. We are rotating in circles, so there is no beginning and no end, only wholeness and oneness.

From traveling through the universal galaxies, we can comprehend the lights that are growing before us. They are made of energy matter, gaseous clouds of nebula giving birth to this unconscious energy, which travels through the ether of completion. For everything that has a balance, was once unbalanced, noisy, chaotic and destructive before, and the plane of perfect existence is of harmony.

Our souls strive for comfort and peace. The thought of pain and mortality troubles us, so that our dreams take hold and take control at night, while we have let go our lives to the death of consciousness to release our souls to the God’s in the astral realms. From there, we can give our negative energy away to be transmuted, by angelic guidance, or to ignore and be followed back by many spirits, hungry to eat it themselves.

To rid oneself of heavy emotions, our minds will create scenarios as we sleep. With each breathe, we will seek out the best dimension in which to exist for overall survival. It is important to harness your dream energy to purify and strengthen yourself. The world continues through natural selection or God’s hands themselves. Use the best of your ability and understand yourself the best you can.

Only a small percent of the population of Earth has the ability to lucid dream, astral project, have visions or recount the dreams they had themselves because it takes acknowledgement of yourself and higher forms of energy to properly succeed. The power to the universe can be tapped into through these dimensions. The power of creation is magnificant, but you would also create a destructive force simultaneously as well.

Angels, religious figures, your pastor even all have an energy signature that has been widely recognized universally and accepted as real. The more that are in tune with one set of belief systems, the more life force is added into that reality. In order to evolve our DNA, we need to make use of the figures that seem most real to us. You can even create your own spirit guides and creatures, which only you would know. Even characters in books or on t.v. can lead you to dream worlds and heal you in fantasies.

The future can be foretold through dreaming, altered and changed as we grow together as one force, circling the light, the mother of creation herself! and as she goes, her shadow comes forward and folds blankets over us as we sleep. She can be known as karma, retribution, luck or the devil as she torments us in powerful surges. The supernatural forces of the night take over and our spirits rise to the light of the moon, which is as the sun for the dead. For every dead plant here, in that realm it lives and the most glorious trees here, are seen as rotting stumps in another land.

The Spirit of Balance

So then, the seasons change as the universe continues it’s rotation in hierarchy of angelic power. We rise and shine with the reflections of the past and then move forward, towards our eternal castles. Where when it is spring here, under the realm of Odin, it becomes winter somewhere else. And so too, will every living thing mimic the sun and moon until there is nothing again, but blood and stone.

The elements that we recognize as the strongest in our reality, is Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Spirit. Of course, we know that on other planets there are certainly different minerals and gases, all the different energy, than we know. This is much like as it is in the dream realms, there are elements to be worked with for using alchemy to bring your desires into fruition. We can think of them easiest like seeds, sprouting when we till the soil, there is proper sun and rain.

In fact, weather in dreams is a reflection of our conscious minds control over the elements and the ability we have to overcome these ancient powers we struggle with. The water represents our emotions, the air is our thoughts, the fire is our transformation and the Earth is materialization, while spirit is dead or alive. If you can control all of these elements successfully, you can raise the spirit of your dreams into reality.

As Above So Below

For what dwells above us in the Heavenly places where we dream, and that place which our bodies are to heavy for us to exist. A place without gravity, but one which can help you move into a utopia which is calling us at our deaths? May we start building our rooms in Heaven, our own tombs and raise consciousness in order to prepare ourselves in the name of death, to the afterlife.

Understanding our intentions, personally and spiritually as a conscious force, taking on a life of it’s own is very meaningful and important. Not much that we read is meant as a literal fact. It is given as a mana to plant in your gardens the truth you see, which unfolds before our eyes into an effortless kingdom. Where it is that we are protected, guided and cared for by the spirit of love itself?

Where is our home? Do we return there in our eternal sleep on our final night, or do we dream ourselves there every time? You can build yourself a room of treasures in this world, but be careful as nothing is as it seems in a world of change and evolution. Our dreams are real. They are super real. Look around and imagine you aren’t already stepping into another reality every time you desire too…

Thank you universe, for the power we have to create… forces of nature… spirit and Earth, much like the God’s themselves. As it is above, so it is below. So it is as I dream, as I sleep, I create and destroy and seek out life with the sun and moon by my side…

The Mendacity of the Franco-American Ideal

Without a flexible view of human nature, no claim can be made to universality. Is the very notion of universal human values a Western construct and conceit? Is human nature universal, or is it contingent on culture?

Purportedly universal political systems inexorably degrade into the hubris of empires. As the old order collapses, the atavistic need for myths and heroes is giving way, without any discernible light of insight to illuminate the way ahead.

With all due respect to Western civilization, the demise of the United States is being desperately denied, and its founding ideals futilely upheld, not just by conservative reactionaries, by but progressive idealists.

America and France were founded on the Declaration of Independence and the Declaration of the Rights of Man respectively. Many progressives cling to the hope for their “continuous adjustment, improvement…and progress toward their ideals.”

“The founding articles and myths of both republics” are, according to some, under siege by the “fashion” of viewing “their roots in the white patriarchal societies of the late 18th century.”

That is simply untrue. The Black Lives Matter Movement, like all movements, has an element of trendiness about it, especially among ‘woke’ white people. But the criticism of the founders of the

American Project, including the most venerated of its founders, Thomas Jefferson and George Washington, goes much deeper than mere fashion.

Therefore equating a radical reassessment of their central falsehood—the brutal idea and even more brutal practice that other human beings could be bought and sold as property—-to throwing the perennial baby of the founding ideals out with the bathwater of the hypocrisy they were bathed in— insults the righteous perceptions and passions of Blacks at the core of the Black Lives Matter Movement.

It isn’t that “the pretensions of embodying ennobling ideals for humankind were false, reflecting no more than the narrow worldview of 18th-century white males whose talk of equal rights was shot through with exploitative hypocrisy.”

It is that the founders knew, as we know, that slavery was unspeakably wrong, yet they carried on with it anyway, just as the dominant white ruling class of the United States has carried on with the institutionalized racism inherited from our white founders. When America erects monuments of equal stature to Fredrick Douglass and Harriet Tubman, then perhaps we will finally have eradicated the roots of racism.

Denigrating the “Great Awokening” by saying that it is riven with “self righteous intolerance” therefore deeply misses the point. Which is, as it should not be necessary to point out, that we can and must see the false as the false, without declaring and demolishing the entire project of the founders as false.

However even that not-so-subtle distinction has become moot, since not simply the universalist projects of the founders in the United States and France founders, threatening to be replaced by Sino-Siberian communist throwbacks, but the human prospect itself is in peril.

So we, fledgling, floundering human beings, return once again, for the umpteenth time, to our opening questions. Human nature is not contingent on culture, or even the ages of man. But what is it, and is it really immutable?

Is human nature merely the banal cliché that “the most conspicuous feature of humankind is its fallibility?” Which, set against the straw man that along with our tendency toward contradictoriness, “becomes unpardonable in an age of absolutist moral certainty?”

Let us not mistake non-relativist moral clarity for “absolutist moral certainty.” Rationalizing if not whitewashing the existential error of slavery by calling it “human fallibility and our contradictory natures” sustains both the sin and the contradiction.

With respect to the human prospect, as the world churns during a global pandemic, it is still being viewed through the tribal lens of national identification. But even a blatant racist and nationalist like Donald Trump acknowledges, between his MAGA rants and deflections of his egregious irresponsibility and mismanagement, “this is a global pandemic.”

I submit that two things have happened, both of which are still largely denied across the political spectrum. The first is that the core Enlightenment premise that reason can and will prevail been irreparably eroded away. No one seriously believes that human reason will carry the day anymore. No serious human being has believed it since Auschwitz and Hiroshima.

The second collapse, besides the Enlightenment ideal and the American project, is the very idea of the perfectibility of ideals. The liberal democratic experiment is not under attack by monument crashers; the monument crashers are merely acting out (in some case in both senses of the phrase) the collapse of ideals, myths and heroes that has already occurred.

In actuality, there is no such thing as the perfectibility of an ideal.

The old order is gone. The question is: how far back does the old order go? To my mind all the way back to what we so thoughtlessly call human nature, which is not just fallible and contradictory, but in crisis and question as never before in human history.

Who Gets the Ventilators in Costa Rica?

The Costa Rican Social Security Fund has had to prepare for making tough decisions in worst case scenarios that might arise as covid-19 cases increase. These protocols are not meant to alarm the public rather to assure that all patients are treated equally.

If it gets to a point where hospitals are collapsing and there are not enough ventilators or ICU beds for all the patients, a protocol must be in place to avoid doctors individually making the decision of who to give them to, as this would be morally difficult for the doctors and could lead to discrimination.

According to the protocols, the ventilators are to go to the patients with the highest probability of survival. The decision will be made purely based on survivability, and not be influenced by age, race, sex, nationality, ideology, or social condition.

The tool is called Bioethical Guidelines for the SARS-CoV-2 Pandemic. A third version of it will be presented next week. The document is a tool, a guide, to prevent unfair decisions and inadequate management of limited resources.

Karin Holzapfel Remains Found in Jaco Costa Rica

Remains found on July 4 in Jacó were confirmed to belong to a missing German tourist, Karin Holzapfel, who disappeared on June 28, according to the Judicial Investigation Agency.

The family was notified on Friday, after preliminary autopsy results. Dental analysis confirmed that the body found was that of the 33-year-old woman. The cause of death has not yet been determined.

The news of the disappearance was filed formally as well as shared on social networks. The family offered a reward for information. They shared photos and videos of her. She was a surf lover who had spent months between Costa Rica and Panama.

The woman’s sister wrote, “With deep pain we want to inform you that yesterday, Friday, July 18, and after 19 days of searching, the German police have personally informed us that our beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, has been found lifeless.” She thanked all those who searched for her. Another family statement said, “In our memories you will live forever. Rest in peace.”

A Mermaid Saved My Life

The sound of the water echoes across the surface of the Earth, like a cloudy mirror that exists, covered by a cold fog from within me. Underneath the reflections of the moon, sun and stars, is the entrance to an underworld filled with mystery and danger. Like symbols in a crystal ball giving signs of the future in the shapes of constellations and storms, I see the light ease into rainbows of fire and beauty, a kaleidoscope of memories from which I receive information and perceive it’s existence. For what could belong unseen to us in our very own world, but in one of which we could not even breathe in until our deaths.

The path moves from me and I walk upon the one which already seems familiar. The light I cast burns fire upon the ground, so that where I step there is no more darkness, no more fear. I hear the sound of a second hand winding down from an indecision of forever. The gears are clicking loudly in my head and there is only the way found to where I must go. There is choices, there is always more in a universe of possibilities. I search with my hands for stones that I had just kissed the night before in a dream and come to a conclusion that I lost them, as it must mean a goodbye was coming soon, because the energy was pure love and banishment from that world for the purpose of surrender. Everything turned into grains of salt.

The wind blows past gardens of green glass bottles with little hidden scrolls inside each one. The sound it makes is a soft tone, which is like the air when whistling in a whisper voice. I already know what the messages will say, the huffing and puffing is loud. I can hear the loneliness and luck in each one as I pass by, almost like feeling a silence in which you will be judged and depart from the worm that you were before by the knife of Odin himself. Some of them feel happy though and yet, others are in different shades of color and size and appearance, so that it sounds like a bee buzzing through a hollow glass forest singing in a song with a honey voice and dancing to the tempo of God and the trees are the bottles and the sun lights up each one like puzzle pieces, yet they all belong together this way.

The frosted bottles each contain spiders, lizards, butterflies and other types of bugs inside. The tops on each are made from fiery jewels, which were set above the direction of gravity in such a way that they could not escape, but were frozen into ice and sap, forming amber tombs, wooden coffins and metal crowns. The volcanoes spit out their fire in an explosion of creation, and diamonds sprouted from the tips like hibiscus flowers dying and living in one day, each time a new color, to mimic the royal sunset of the night before.

And I had in my heart a story and then I took it from there with my hands and wrote the words down in a glowing ink made of a sweet nectar, so that they could be read in another age by someone who was led there by an angel, from which I myself had told all the secret directions to an eternal world. Like an alchemist, creating a key of which was formed and melded by the moonlight in my mind and I placed it into the hands of logic to be safe. Like moonflowers, my eyes bloomed each night as I slept and the tempo was kept by crickets playing the violin.

So, I send out this, my story across the king’s mirror in a golden heart shaped vessel, and it is guided by the helping hands of spirt and water, who will place each letter where it belongs in the choir of the symphony that was written along time ago by a voice upon the waters. From each chair will be an item of absolution and prayers. So, then when the spirit of the God’s descends upon the Earth, like an echo, the light will carry these messages to someone who hasn’t heard before the sound of each instrument from which I choose to write with. So, they will know there is a holy sanctuary in me, in which we can share laughter around a warm fire and comfort each other in love knowing that where there was death we can begin again.

A Mermaid Saved my Life
GABRIEL
Gabriel is an angelic messenger who is entrusted to deliver several important messages on God’s behalf. These messages are meant to be made in the theme of healing the spirit and emotion.
God send a flood onto the world of emotion and it manifested as a living element. The water consciousness is one made in compassion, love, heartache, joy and so much more because water changes forms based on the shape of voices and sound. You can see the water with your own eyes and it will move to different vibrations in several ways. Much like how you can cry a flood when hearing certain thoughts from people that hurt your feelings.
Gabriel is known to appear in a white shimmering light, the holiest of color. But, also can appear in several different ways in our dreams and minds, in order to speak with us. Another metal commonly associated with his energy is copper. As it corrodes it turns green, which is the color underwater and this is the place to which we must go. You will find that you have already sensed the galaxies colliding and they already produced many billions of life forms on planets made entirely from water.

Gabriel sends healing out upon these waters and a call to listen as the Earth speaks in many ways and tones in a manner of living, much like we all do. She creates monsters and angels with one wish and though sometimes which are capable of both incredible and horrible things. And some of them sleep for very long periods of time before they get up and read again our stories of time and decide which dimension to exist in because they are in a place where they were never kicked out from their homes, in a perfect space of unconditional courage and power over us.

So, they look in at us sometimes from different angles of space and time, forever deciphering the secret messages and codes set out onto the Earth in a spirit of hopefulness. They look like lights of stars and bursts of nebulas, gases and emissions of energy instead of the way that we see things. They know your blood because they sense the droplets of rubies, sapphires and amethyst like a treasure they are hungry for, hidden by mountains and rivers of snowy milk from thieves inside of you. A spell made to enchant those who had been to that paradise and remembered the secret things buried beneath the Earth, in the waters, from before which they should not be aware of because of their evil and from where they must forget who they were to hide from the light of God, digested instead in the belly of the Earth and transform again into never-ending demon forms like snakes and serpents, controlled by the snake charmer himself. May they drink it and be laid to rest by the lullaby of our mothers and into their eternal slumbers where Endymion awaits to hear their tales of infinite pleasures and magic and our worlds forever protected in love from the impure.
A Mermaid Saved My Life

I remember as a small child, I frequently sat by a pond by where I used to live in at Loomis, CA. It was intriguing to me because it was filled up with cattails and a lot of noisy toads. There were so many toads that I used to sometimes spend all day to collect them and keep them in a extra large plastic pale blue container and I would tell them each a secret and then watch their reactions and then put them back into the water when I was satisfied that they had understood.

One day, my mom was on the phone and I was wildly running everywhere to the point she had to walk further up the road to continue chatting. I got enchanted by the way the sun was shimmering off the surface and wanted to get as close as possible to see the beauty of the water. Then, I noticed a really pretty purple flower on a lily pad and went to grab it and I tripped and fell in.

It is known that water has a consciousness which collects as energy that speaks to us in the form of angels, mermaids, supernatural creatures and more. It is known as the spirit of water and can be protective or dangerous, depending on numerous factors. Water is a highly evolved element, which is why the majority of our bodies and the Earth is made up of it. I felt like I was being invited in.

I looked over and noticed my mom reaching out and scared because I was too close to the edge and I turned back and slipped on the vines underwater. I remember looking in there and seeing a mermaid coming towards me. She had brown hair and a pinkish and red fin and glowing yellow eyes with smooth pearly skin. She had a very happy demeanor and smiled. She laughed quietly, as she undid the living plant rope tied around my feet gently, blessing them and then I walked back out to my mom in a manner of holiness and faith.

Mermaids are known in many different cultures and belief systems across the world. Throughout time they have represented the divine forces at play underwater, invisible to us, much like ocean life itself. The sea has always fascinated humankind and continues to amaze us. Still, to this day hidden species and plant life are discovered. Not to mention also all the sunken treasures, gems, precious metals and stones and other powerful minerals protected by the waves of this world.

Mermaids can be good or evil. They can be beautiful or terrifying. They seem to judge the emotion and intentions of man, easily being able to punish or reward us, where we may have failed. They can grant wishes, lure travelers to their death and even flirt with humans and birth together stranger things. They can make their way to land, in the name of love and desire. Mermaids are a truly stunning fascination, come from the waters of Heaven and Hell itself in a projection of lines and matter.

Since water rules the emotions and the spirit, it is a natural ability that they have to tune in to us. Our dreams are ruled by the moon, which is the guardian of our subconscious mind and master of slumber. What we see on the surface is but a mere reflection of what is inside. A whole world exists, forming, complete, yet changing and moving, grabbing the sands of time and then letting go again… until there is nothing left…

For Beginner Anglers – The Fishing Information You Need Before Your Fishing Trip

It is essential that every single person has at least one hobby. A hobby can be any activity that brings peace, fun, and pleasure to a person. It also involves doing something productive. One of those interesting hobbies is definitely fishing.

It is definitely a very popular activity. Many people choose it for different reasons. If you love trying different kinds of fish, you can learn to fish for yourself. It’s not the same buying them from a local supermarket, usually frozen, and preparing them freshly caught. You will definitely notice a difference in the flavor.

Moreover, many anglers go wishing because they love water and the tranquility that comes with it. There’s nothing like throwing in your rod into the pond or river and sitting back relaxed, waiting for the fish to get hooked. It can really calm you down and relieve you from any stress and frustration.

If you are new to this and want to learn how to master the technique, you will have to purchase the necessary equipment first. You won’t be able to catch fish without it. Every new beginner needs to have the following items:

Fishing rod

This is one of the most essential tools an angler needs to have. Basically, without it, you won’t be able to catch any fish. There are many different designs of rods that you can choose from. A great idea is to walk into a local store that sells them and ask for a recommendation from the seller.

There are many great options for beginners, such as yourself. Every time you plan on going on a trip to catch fish, never forget your fishing rod. Once you master the technique, you can purchase as many rods as you want and use them as well. Check out the link for more helpful details https://www.wikihow.com/Fish-(for-Beginners).

Bait and lure

If you want the fish to get hooked so you can reel it in, you’ll have to attach either bait or lure on the hook. Your fishing trip won’t be a success without these items. Bait usually consists of worms, while lures are considered as artificial bait.

Before you cast your rod into the water, make sure to attach the babe adequately on the hook. It needs to stay put once you throw it in the water. Items like these can be either bought from a local store or ordered online. Wherever you buy them from, you should make sure that you always have spares by your side as well.

Backpack

When people plan on going on fishing trips, they usually carry a lot of stuff with them. If you want everything to be organized so you can find it more easily, you should definitely consider purchasing a fishing backpack. It is an essential piece of equipment that you have to take with you.

Every time you are looking for fishing information online about stuff you might need, you will always find that a backpack is a must. It has a lot of storage space and compartments. Everything inside can be neatly organized so that you won’t have to worry whether you left something behind.

Waterproof clothes

This particular hobby can be a lot of fun, but all of that stops if you get soaking wet. Wearing waterproof clothes is a must every time you plan on taking a trip. It will keep you dry from rain and water splashes. This is especially important if you plan on taking a boat away from the shore to catch fish.

If you end up soaked, it will ruin the entire experience. You’ll be cold and miserable. This type of gear can be purchased in a local store as well.

First aid kit

A responsible angler will always bring a first aid kit with them. Injuries can happen when you least expect them. You can end up getting scratched or hurt. No one thinks it will happen to them, but it is best to be cautious.

It is advisable that you also bring sunscreen with you, especially if you plan on staying exposed to the sun for a more extended period. It is essential to protect your skin from UV rays.

Tips for Choosing A New Site of Luck

Tips for Choosing A New site of luck

The popularity of Online Bingo has reached such levels that more bingo sites are created every week.

With a large pool of bingo sites out there, it has become tough to choose one. Fortunately, some considerations make choosing where to play more relaxed. In order to understand which site to choose for playing, have a look at the article:

Welcome bonus

These are all those bonuses that one can receive when he/she makes their first deposit.

No deposit bonuses

Some best bingo sites https://www.bingosweets.com/best-payout-bingo-sites/ even offer “no deposit” bonuses, which means you get extra money by opening an account before depositing money! This can be £ 5 or £ 10 or even more, while other no-deposit offers may include free spins on slot machine games.

First deposits

However, most of the time, a welcome bonus will be a percentage of your first deposit, like 100%, 200%, or, if you’re lucky, 300%. For example, if you deposit € 10 and get a 200% bonus, you will get a free bonus of € 20, that is, € 30 in total. Obviously, the higher the bonus, the better when you choose a new place to play!

Current promotions

In addition to the welcome bonuses, you will also find many current promotions. These are regular promotions for existing players. You can expect to find a variety of current promotions on bingo sites, such as reload bonuses, which give you a bonus in addition to your deposits.

You can also find regular free spin offers and other tempting rewards, like cashback offers and giveaways. If you like participating in promotions, find a bingo site that periodically updates its offers. Current promotions can make a big difference and add a little more fun to your bingo game!

Loyalty program

One type of ongoing promotion is a loyalty program or a VIP club. Many bingo sites have a loyalty program available to regular players, and these generally work by allowing you to accumulate points when you make deposits. For example, when you deposit £ 10, you can earn one loyalty point added to your balance.

These can also be paid for in the form of jewelry or stars or another fun way to track their loyalty. These points can be exchanged for bingo bonus money or real money.

Design and graphics

One of the first aspects of a bingo site that impacts newcomers is design and layout. If you don’t like the site’s look, you are unlikely to enjoy playing for a long time. Make sure the design, colors, mascot character, and overall appearance are attractive.

Some things to consider include navigating through the menu and the ease with which you can navigate it. Ask yourself if you can easily find your favorite games or hidden, and if the support options are easily accessible. Also, consider the site’s tone, if you like the look of bingo halls and the way promotions are written.

Conclusion

Every bingo player is different, and a perfect bingo site for your friend may not be the best site for you. If you consider all the areas covered in this article, you should decide which aspects are most important to you. With this information, you can find the bingo site that best suits your specifications, and find your new bingo house!

Are Hemp Seed, Hemp, And CBD Oil The Same – For Cat’s Consumption?

For pet parents of the feline species, there can be confusion when it comes to the variety of cannabis compounds on the market and their labels making it difficult to determine the differences. Typically, CBD oil is housed in an ounce-sized glass bottle with a list of various names on its outer label, such as ‘full-spectrum hemp extract,’ ‘hemp-derived CBD oil,’ or ‘CBD isolate.’

Also available is hemp oil for cats, which claims to be completely free of the THC component. This is the psychoactive element that causes the intoxication associated with marijuana. Further, there is the potential for seeing ‘hemp seed oil.

Hemp Oil Vs. Hemp Seed Oil

Hemp oil and hemp seed oil are not the same. But in many cases, people will refer to the products extracted from the hemp plant leaves and flowers, which are rich in CBD as ‘hemp oil’ and, in some cases, ‘hemp seed oil.’

CBD oil derives from either the hemp or marijuana plants with consumption in capsules or tinctures for health-related benefits. Hemp seed oil comes from the seeds of the hemp plant precisely and possesses a high value for nutrition often used in foods and drinks. These can be found in a variety of wellness shops.

CBD oil extraction comes from parts of the hemp plant, not consisting of the seeds. The hemp seed oil has the slightest potential to contain trace amounts of CBD, but the level is so minute it is insignificant to include on ingredient labels.

How Hemp Seed Oil Can Benefit Kitty

Hemp seed oil differs from CBD in the way its properties benefit our feline friends. Learn the properties it carries at https://www.catster.com/lifestyle/hemp-benefits-for-cats . The potential value is more nutritionally helpful on a health level than being ‘medicinal’ or therapeutic like cannabidiol. The oil comprises a multitude of proteins and vital fatty acids required for the body to function at peak capacity. The seeds and the oil produced from them are advantageous to the cat species for a number of reasons some of which include:

  • Coat And Skin:  When hemp seed oil is added to kitty’s health regimen, it can potentially penetrate the inner layers of the skin. It encourages cell growth, balancing fatty acids, and reducing inflammation, which is typical for various skin conditions, including atopic dermatitis and granulomas. The substance can also add luster and shine to the pet’s coat, reducing signs of dandruff and decreasing instances of shedding.
  • Internally Healthy:  The compound encourages the strength of the feline’s immune system and promotes the optimum function of the vital organs and a healthy heart. For a new, young kitten indulging in the products, they will enjoy sound development stages in their growth processes.
  • Nutritionally Sound: Your pet will benefit from loads of nutrients found from the seeds, plus there is a wide range of antioxidants.

People require a nutrient-rich diet in order to thrive in their health and wellness. A body can’t function properly without its daily requirements. Skin and hair health are deprived when there is not an appropriate balance in our system. We don’t develop, grow, or enjoy vitality if our immune system is withdrawn and our organs are weak.

The animals we bring into our home to love and care for in the same way we treat ourselves have bodies that react in quite the same way as ours do. It is why many pet parents are turning to hemp seed oil. Many are seeing benefits in their own lives and finding anecdotal successes for a multitude of pets. Read about cannabis products and their effects on cats.

Final Word

Cats are a wonderful and unique species with very sensitive stomachs making harsh pharmaceuticals challenging for them and treatment options minimal for their many health-related issues. It creates difficulties for pet parents when attempting to find solutions for their kitties. The hemp seed oil has the potential for being the safe, nontoxic, organic option pet parents could be seeking.

In promoting kitty’s sound health and nutritional wellness, it’s important to remember before you fall into the trap that your poor kitten is finicky, cats stomachs are unusually sensitive with the potential for ‘low gag factors.’ If something turns their stomach, they can’t (not won’t) ingest it. Don’t give up thinking you have a stubborn animal.

Work with the vet in finding healthful food that will sit with your fur baby’s belly. It would help if you never fight your pet but rather the condition that’s hindering the pet.

Meditating With a Rattlesnake

Having only encountered the harmless garter snake growing up in Michigan, I held a fear and fascination for rattlesnakes when I left the insular peninsular for California at 20.

On my first trip into the High Sierra with, naturally, the Sierra Club, I vividly recall walking along a ridge with group of hikers when I caught my first sight of a rattler. A large specimen was fearlessly lying next to the path, motionless and soundless.

I jumped. Whereupon the young lady behind me blithely said, “It won’t bother us unless we threaten it. And it’s not rattling, so it’s not feeling threatened.”

I don’t know which made a stronger impression on me–the fat, five-foot rattlesnake, or the preternaturally calm young woman.

Fast-forward 30 years. I had moved to this quiet, sylvan and relatively undeveloped college town an hour and half north of Sacramento, at the northeast corner of the Great Central Valley.

From the apartment I could walk to what was then the edge of town, and a little beyond, where you could spot long-eared rabbits, , an occasional coyote, and yes, rattlesnakes in the high grass.

When a moment’s inattention could mean your life or a limb-threatening bite, you realize that mindfulness is not just a New Age mantra.

I liked to take meditations along the stream in that area for half the year. The most productive agricultural region in the world is rainless for six months of the year, and the creek becomes a stone bed by mid-July.

On this particular day, vestiges of spring had not yet given way to the heat of summer, and I sat down next to a rippling stream in the shade of a sycamore tree in the tall browning grass.

After about 15 minutes I heard something rustling through dried leaves five meters away. I stayed put as it grew nearer, but the moment I saw the rattlesnake my crossed legs became springs, and I shot straight up into the air.

After a minute contemplating the creature, I did something unreasonable, but I judged, not unreasonably dangerous. The beautifully variegated brown reptile didn’t coil and it didn’t rattle. So I sat back down.

The rattlesnake, another fat five-footer, stretched out an arm’s length away. I didn’t move, but more out of curiosity than fear. To be sure, primal fear arose, but I watched it with the same intensity that I watched the snake, and it gave way to pure awareness.

For 45 minutes I sat motionless next to that stock-still rattlesnake, just a five-minute walk from sidewalks and city streets. When I got up I felt like I’d been in the wilderness for a week.

That meditation changed me in ways I’m not sure of to this day, quite a few years later. That’s fitting, since I later learned that Native Americans often saw encounters with venomous snakes as signs of healing, rebirth and transformation.

A few months later, near the same spot, I encountered a father trailing his young son while proudly carrying a dead rattlesnake of the same size and girth.

“Did you have to kill it?” I asked more out of sorrow than anger.

“It could bite my son,” came the disingenuous reply.

I never saw another rattlesnake in that area. Or coyote. Or long eared rabbit.

Soon the pheasant were gone, and they named the field where a Best Buy now squats “Pheasant Run.” Last year I saw the last hovering falcon, the gracile kite, tuck its slender wings and gently dive to the ground.

One way or another however, through the extinction boomeranging on us that our supposedly sentient species is wreaking on our fellow creatures, or through a pandemic awakening the intelligence to

live in harmony with what is left of nature, the Earth will have the last say.
