Surf Photos & Costa Rica Weekend Surf Report- December 8th & 9th

Costa Rica Surfing – (Surf Report December 8th & 9th) – We are going to give you the surf forecast for Costa Rica and we have Costa Rica surf pics.  There are going to be fun sets on the Pacific side  & small sets on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica. We have also added surf video from Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica.

North Costa Rica & Central Costa Rica & South Costa Rica Forecast for the Pacific

FRIDAY: SSW swell slowly trends down Thursday and Friday, but plenty of energy remains to keep up fun surf. For the most part, look for waist-shoulder high surf, with some head high sets still pushing through at good spots during favored tides on Thursday.

WEATHER/WIND: Light/variable flow each morning, with a light to moderate sea-breeze developing through the late morning/afternoon for most of the region. Keep an eye on the Central America Hi Res Winds when planning your session.

Friday 12/08 – 3-4ft+ waist to shoulder high – Fading old SSW swell.

Saturday 12/09 – 3-4ft – waist to chest high – Old SSW swell, while new SW swell moves in through the day.

Caribbean Costa Rica Forecast

Moderate short period wind waves from the east-northeast falling slightly during the next few days. Light west winds, winds dropping rapidly later and switching to the north-northeast. Small short period wind waves from the east-northeast rising rapidly later in the early part of next week. Light west winds with a slight chop, Increasing later.

Friday 12/08 – 5-6ft – Head high to 1ft overhead – Moderate mid period swell from the east-northeast falling slightly during the day. Light and variable west winds and switching to the north-northeast

Saturday 12/09 – 4-5ft – Shoulder to head – Small short period wind waves from the east-northeast holding during the day. Light west-northwest winds with a slight chop, Increasing later.
