The public official who threw a coin at Carlos Alvarado’s vehicle near the National Theater has been fired from his job as a graphic designer for the National Printing Office since it was determined by the Civil Service Court that this behavior is not acceptable for a person in public office.
His actions were confirmed by a witness as well as caught on video. A police officer saw him throw the coin and immediately arrested him. This happened on October 3, 2018 when there was a mob of trade unionists protesting tax reform.
His behavior compromises the image of the National Printing and goes against the ethics, morals and good customs expected of an official of the institution where he worked since 2009.
Last week, the same employee was released from going to trial for assault with a weapon since he paid the alleged victim, one of the president’s escorts, ¢100,000 and offered an apology.
