Paola Chacón is the winner of Miss Costa Rica, as of this Friday night, and will be the representative of the country in Miss Universe 2019. The young Josefina was among the fan favorites all along.
The 27-year-old is a loving and passionate person. She studied Business Administration and has participated in many prestigious beauty pageants such as Reina de Costa Rica International, Miss Hispanomérica Internacional, Top Model of the World, Miss Supranational and Miss International.
Paola’s response to the question of what she would change in the country to improve as a society impressed the judges. She explained that motivating students with sports would be a great way to reduce dropouts.
The three finalists at the event, held at the Marco Picado Studio, were Paola Chacón, Monica Zamora, and Brenda Muñoz. They danced, catwalked, answered questions, and showed off bathing suits and evening wear. Natalia Carvajal passed on the crown wearing as a tribute a dress by Costa Rican designer Daniel Moreira who died last August.
