Alleged Killed of Carla Stefaniak Caught in Lie

Security camera shots have been used to contradict the information given to police by the alleged killer of tourist Carla Stefaniak in 2018. He told authorities that the woman had left in an Uber but this was not true.

Security footage from nearby showed the only way to the hotel and the car he said she left in was not there, according to the Homicide Section of the Judicial Investigation Agency in the Criminal Court of Pavas.

Additional details also point to the fact that she never left the hotel. She did not check-out with the receptionist and information provided by the company of the telephone she used showed that she stayed in the area.

At the time of the murder, the accused reportedly told a friend he was worried because of an accident. He is now facing charges of qualified homicide, attempted rape, and aggravated robbery.
