Did The Costa Rica Pane Crash Effect Tourism in the Country?

Costa Rica News – A Nature Air plane crashed on Sunday December 31 in Bejuco de Nandayure in Guanacaste.

12 people lost their lives, 2 Costa Rican pilots and 10 US tourists. Air safety control has been called into question.

This may generate a negative effect on the attraction of visitors but it is too soon to tell.

Many people have, at the least, changed their plans to drive instead of take domestic flights. One company reported 30 such changes to itineraries.

The former head of the National Transportation Safety Board has a direct and scary message: Do not take private tourists flights because they do not have the kind of supervision and regulation seen in commercial aviation.

Taking a single engine plane in a third world country, says another expert, is a significantly higher risk than flying on a commercial airplane with two engines and two professional pilots.
