Costa Rica Does Not Make List of Cheapest Countries to Live

Costa Rica News – The site gobankingrates.com has presented, on March 5, the ranking of the countries in the world that are the cheapest to live in.

The study compared 115 countries and listed the 50 cheapest.

India came out as the cheapest in the whole world. The best priced place to live in Latin America turns out to be Mexico. The other Latin American countries that made the list are Bolivia, Colombia, Peru, Honduras and Ecuador, in that order.

To determine cost of living, the portal considered five sections: the local purchasing power index, the income index, the restaurant price index, the food index, and the consumer price index.

Costa Rica did not make the list. The cost of living is much too high. In May 2017, the country was in 39th place among the 50 most expensive countries to live in. That list consists mostly of European cities.
