The inhabitants of San Jose look forward to the activities all year.
Three of the capital’s main parks are taken over by art, culture, music, gastronomy and sports.
The parks named Nacional, España and Morazán, as well as the Jardín de Paz are turned into a respite from the fast paced city life.
Hundreds came to the event this past weekend. The weather held up.
The event featured musicians, a boxing ring, trampolines, hammocks and inflatables. Artists took to the pavement with impressive colorful chalk designs.
Culture was everywhere. There was artisan food, dance, poetry, origami workshops, painting, reading, sales of books and handicrafts.
There were people dressed as fantasy characters.
