Viaduct to Begin Construction in Costa Rica

The viaduct in Guadalupe will get the start order in the next two months. The last step before that is to make the commercial rights payments on pending expropriations, a process that is already very advanced.

There were a total of seven businesses that had to be compensated. Two of them have already received payment, three are ready for deposit and the last two are in the appraisal phase.

This means that the work to be done on the intersection should begin either by the end of this year or in the early days of next year. The current crossing is to be converted into a roundabout with viaducts and a tunnel, similar to the one in Zapote.

There will be an intervention of 790 meters to dig a tunnel to pass under a new roundabout of 85 meters. There will be three lanes in each direction and sidewalks on both sides. There will also be bus bays and a pedestrian bridge.
