7 Spooky Pop Music Stories & A Playlist

1. Aaron Carter

Aaron was on his Instagram live Instagram.com/aaroncarter and he was saying that he thinks his house is haunted that he is currently in, but he wants to move apparently. He said something about objects moving around, phones ringing and he thinks it’s a poltergeist or his sister Leslie Carter who died. I also discovered that she has a song called Medusa, or at least a mix that is currently under her name as a song she sang. He has a Medusa tattoo on his face and most are dedicated to women that he loves.

2. Bea Miller-

Bea has a really cool tattoo of a ghost on her arm. So, obviously she thinks they are awesome too. She has some amazing songs that give me the chills when I listen to them. Her voice is so smooth and enchanting, she can put you into a trance so easily. “To The Grave” is a really good spooky music video and beat to listen to. “Feel Something” is just as awesome as a video, as it shows her being abducted by aliens and transported to different places. Also, a really cute song she has from the start of her career is called, “Dracula.”

3. Taylor Swift

While recording one of her albums and the song, “Gorgeous” Taylor Swift herself said that she felt the presence of ghosts. She has a lot of spooky songs, such as the one she wrote for the movie “Cats” called “Beautiful Ghosts.” In that particular song, there is lyrics about holding her hand in a dark room. “Look What You Made Me Do,” is a really cool and spooky song too. It has a lot of occult symbolism in the video. Taylor is also known to leave “Easter eggs” in her videos, which are known as clues placed throughout her filmography, in order for people to predict the future of her music and also her collaborations announcements.

4. Noah Cyrus

Noah has a very sad energy in her music. She even has a song called “Ghost” which is very haunting to listen to. She has a paranormal dark beauty and it attracts a lot of spirits I’m sure. Her EP, “The End of Everything” is filled with supernatural magick. Every song is outlined with a planetary energy and occult movements. According to the interview she did with Rolling Stone Magazine, “Ghost” is about the depression she went through. “I Got So High That I Saw Jesus” was written because her collaborator PJ dreamed the song lyrics and she used them. “The End of Everything” is my third recommendation of her songs because it was inspired by a time lapse video of the universe and how everything we do and all we love will eventually die. There is a very somber feeling to this album, but I believe it is meant for the other world as well as for the lost souls here to find their way.

5. Katy Perry

Another artist that has a lot of spooky music is Katy Perry. Some of the best ones are “Dark Horse,” with Juicy J (Which is about using love magick and Katy’s charms) “E.T.” which she did with Kanye West years ago and “Ghost.” According to the Daily Star, Katy Perry reportedly “freaked out” when she encountered a ghost during a video shoot for her new perfume. … “Katy freaked out in her dressing room. She was on her own and spotted the ghostly figure of a man with a mustache staring at her in the mirror.”

6. Kesha

Kesha has let it be known before that she had sexual relations with a ghost. She told Ryan Seacrest this; “I’ve got a song called ‘Supernatural,‘” she explained. “That song was about having sex with a ghost. I lived in this flop house at Rural Canyon and there was this weird energy that lived there, and it used to keep me at night and wake me up. And it progressed into this dark, sexual spirit. It did scare me, but that’s part of the fun of it.” She has a strong faith and spirituality that is really bright and beautiful. Her song “Praying” is about overcoming oppression and having the strength to live again despite the pain.

7. Selena Gomez

Selena has a subtle paranormal quality to her. She definitely has a style for the strange and magical. Her latest phenomenal hit, “Rare” is everything an innocent soul could ever desire in a pretty fantasy vision. My favorite is her video for the song “Fetish” in which she shows strange behaviors to be weird, sexy and cool. It definitely has a vibe to it. Her song “Souvenir” is about love, but it is hard to ignore all the creepy symbology used, such as the Egyptian blue eyes, shivers, goosebumps and chills. It almost summons spirits right there as you listen. She also recorded for the movie “Hotel Transylvania”, “The Dead Don’t Die,” and “Wizards of Waverly Hills”.
