Costa Rica Cyclist Andrey Amador In Best Shape of Career

It’s been a year of change for Andrey Amador. He switched to Ineos. He’s trained differently due to covid-19. He is expecting a second child in November. They are happy to welcome the new member of the family.

He has enjoyed being with his colleagues and the assistants and staff. They’ve been training on the Teide volcano, in the Canary Islands. His first contact with the team was for the United Arab Emirates Tour but it got cancelled because of the start of covid-19.

They then had to train with masks and stay in individual rooms. They would stop for spread out picnics instead of coffee. Slowly, they are returning to normalcy.

He’s been impressed with Ineos. The team is well taken care of with a cook and services like massage and physiotherapy. Additionally, he’s been able to work on his English.

He’s looking forward to the return of competition after a pause forced by the covid-19 pandemic. He believes that after this forced pause every athlete will want to give their all.

He’s thankful to all his supporters in Costa Rica. He advises us to take covid-19 seriously as he has seen the terrible situation in Europe firsthand.
