Andrey Amador, on his bicycle, proudly represents Costa Rica around the world. He has participated in the Tour de France and the Gira d’Italia. Most recently he was in the top 8 in Tour of Great Britain.
He was just 1’04 over the time of the first place winner, Dutch Mathieu van der Poel. He finished with a time of 24 hours, 48 minutes and 45 seconds, making him the fastest on the Movistar Team.
The competition started on September 7 in Glasgow. He ranked 22nd the first day and 34th the second day. This Saturday was the most active day. He launched himself to compete against several top riders and improve his position.
By the end of the competition he was in 8th. Andrey is loved by his fans in Costa Rica and abroad. They will follow his career closely. He will end this season in competitions in Italy.
