Cabletica has provided the best performance of fixed Internet according to the first National Evaluation of the Fixed Internet Service. This was carried out with professional equipment and tests by the Telecommunications Superintendent.
It found that Cabletica fully complied with the speed it offered customers. It got a 100% score. The worst of all the companies was ICE, with a score of 79.4%. Tigo had 94.4% and Telecable had 91.2%.
169 million samples were registered from each supplier. The intention of the study was to give consumers the needed information for when contracting a fixed Internet service so they can choose a reliable provider.
While Cabletica had the best performance in San José, Alajuela, Heredia, Cartago, Puntarenas and Cartago, Tigo had the best performance in Limón. All the samples were collected in 2018.
