Young Costa Ricans Meeting About Climate Change

Young people met at the Local Youth Conference ahead of the organized climate meeting, called PreCOP25, being held today through October 10 at the National Convention Center in Costa Rica.

They hope to achieve a greater impact on the decision making that goes into the fight for the climate and the planet. Among them are environmental activists promoting slogans about the importance of climate change issues.

They are hoping to receive more than media attention. While their slogans being seen on social media is a start, they want much more. The movement involves 70 young people from Latin America. They hope to position themselves in decision making groups in different countries.

The international meeting will include subjects like nature based solutions, blue economy, and sustainable cities. 750 delegates from 70 countries are participating, including heads of State and Environmental Ministers.
