Three days into the festivities in Zapote, the organizers of the bullring lowered the cost of tickets to the traditional bullfights.
Some events were only 60% full but the management says this is not why they chose to lower the price, rather it was a decision to help families. The economic situation of the country this year has been difficult.
At the start, the cheapest adult ticket was ₡16,000. Torotico, the company in charge of producing the event, made the decision to make the cost more accessible. The price for adults dropped to ₡14,000 for the afternoon show and ₡15,000 for the evening one.
Tickets for children ages 3 to 12 were also reduced, from ₡9,000 to ₡7,000. Those under age 3 do not pay.
Tickets can be purchased at the ticket office of the roundabout on the fairground or online. The event goes from December 25 to January 5.
